Did they already changed the antenna at flatrock? Based on the spyshots I thought the new antenna would come with MY2021 for SYNC4

Is it safe to assume the 18-20 Models will be able to get Sync 4 once its available for the 2021 mustangs?

Based on what has been reported Sync 4 should be available to those with version 3.3 and above. Right now we are still waiting for the official release of 3.4 so 4.0 could be a long way off. On the other hand maybe Ford is going to bypass 3.4 all together and go right to 4.0. Now wouldn’t that be fun?

Is that on all new Mustangs? I know the early cars had lots of problems with satellite reception. My 16 is WAY more sensetive to signal loss than any other Ford with satellite that I have had (4 others). My be a new design to improve reception.

I’ve looked at a number of 2020’s online and this is the first I’ve seen with the shark fin. Could just be an in-line part change or the end of the world as we know it.

If you have a 2017+ and are using the Cyanlabs 3.4 update then you will have both Carplay and Android Auto. If you have a 2016 you will also need to change out the USB hub.

We do not know if an unofficial 3.4 update will be able to jump to 4.0 at this point.

don't count on it. Even if the underlying OS is the same (QNX) the memory footprint if not chipset is very likely different and not necessarily backwards compatible. Plus it's not exactly uncommon for the software guys to deliberately sabotage software with CPU HWID checks and to core on a mismatch.

I personally prefer the old, whip style.
