I changed my mind. Instead of black, they have an ebony with is like a very , very dark gray or lighter black. I feel that is the best match. It can be found in the 'More Colors' section

I will go with the Ultimat because I do not want the 0.5" thick luxury mat. It would be nice to have its features but I do not feel a mat that thick belongs in a Mustang. The Ultimat is 0.35" thick. I would love to have the lifetime warranty though. Little concerned that thick of a mat would cause the pedals to get stuck.

Did you ever get the mats in Ebony? I too was wondering about what color to use in my GT350.

Btw, how did you get Lloyds to send sample chips?

I got the full Lloyds set (front/rear/trunk) for Christmas, but I have an R with no backseat and clearly have no use for the two small rear mats, so if someone wants them lemme know...

Yes I did. They look fantastic! I will take a photo as soon as I can and show you them. Other than the Lloyd have a single perimeter white stitch, I think they are a great match to the stock. Stock has a double row of stitching.

Now that I see them in full sun, they can look more gray in ebony black. The photos do not show the difference too well. I still think they look and fit great. As for samples, just write/email/call them. They will send them. I wish they had sent me a black sample but at the time they did not . At some angles they are perfect, at others they look gray. I took shots from various angles to show you. At low angles you can really see a difference but I think that is due to a different yarn or something.

Car just got washed.

I guess, just not seen one haze up like that after a wash. Interesting wonder if it has something to with the water in your area on the great globe.

That’s what happens when water sits on the rotor for a while.

Rain for much of the week and I did not drive it. Iron rusts. As to the wash, yes I did. Used ONR and since the weather was warmer than usual, I did a Turtle wax Hybrid solutions Ceramic spray coating yesterday and then today put a layer of Beadmaker. I think, even in the shade it looks wet. Best part is the TW tends to last a good 3-6 months and keeps beading water. Good stuff

I did get the color chips, black & ebony, from Lloyd. Like you stated, depending on the angle and light, they each look different at times. But the ebony is a closer match, particulary when comparing the colors in the floor area(you're mats aren't going to be in the sunlight, except when you clean them).
Did you also get the trunk mat, and in same color? I ask because I want the trunk mat too, but the trunk area is a light grey. Nothing like the interior of the car. I asked Lloyd about ordering it in a different color, and if they could send me some color chips of the different greys. As is, the ebony color would not look right in the trunk area, though it's perfect for the car's interior.
