2017 Mach 1 to the rescue? That's probably a way Ford can keep the competition up. Just my 2 cents don't beat me up for them.

The majority of car sales happen by looks. The Mustang looks much better than it has in decades, and has a different look than many cars on the road, thus the huge sales. The Camaro doesn't look much different than it has in years, thus sales won't even come close to the Mustang. Ford already upped their game for this generation. The other manufacturers are the ones who'll be playing catch up. So all Ford has to do is stay out of it's own way for the next couple of years. In order to do that, they'll need to straighten out their QC.

I would like to see the next Boss or a Mach 1 if we're talking 2017.

But I don't see much happening to the rest of the model line power-wise. More power would definitely be attractive but given the whole EPA cert thing as well as impact to CAFE numbers, that may not be easy to do.

But we can still hope.

This is SO true. While we are performance minded, MOST buyers really are not.

And the S550 looks so fresh and new, I don't think we will see much change other than POSSIBLY some trim items for the next year or two...

Yeh I mean sorry to break the news but performance minded buyers are a TINY TINY part of the market, probably less than 1% of total sales across Challenger/Camaro/Msutang.

Joe customer will buy which car looks best to him first (if no allegiances to a brand) rather than if it is .8 seconds fast on the track or .1 quicker in the 1/4 mile, or whatever. People on here are the vast vast minority of people who actually care, or even notice these things.

I like the look of the Challenger but would never buy it because it's a boat. No matter if it had 100hp ot 707 like the Hellcat. Looks/the feel the car gives you means something (a lot) in the equation.

Yah they shouldn't change the look of the S550..but they can continue to change some of the under lying issues, mainly the transmission. I hope we see the 10 speed in 2017 MY.
