Jokes aside, I have split ownership of my first car still - a 2003 Toyota Yaris, what a beast! Had to get a full exhaust fitted on her a few weeks back, not to compete with the 'Stang but because the other one fell off... literally! Although, I'd rather my stan'gs exhaust was only £200 lol!
(Split ownership as I gave it to my little brother as his first car, and he still uses it, primarily his, mine if I ever need to drive a rubbish car and be bored to tears and spend 25 seconds getting to 60 with a slope helping...)

It became a bit of an obsession and then my wifes business as she does weddings with them. I have driven many things over the years but nothing prepares you for how obsessed non VW people are about them. I guess it helps as they are on every t shirt and mug known to man

Hey... count yourself lucky... this guy was a heartthrob back in the late 80's/early 90's!

When I was about your age I acquired the nickname 'Nookie' on account of the fact I apparently looked like a (now defunct) cross-eyed comedy bear... but thankfully age has been relatively kind to me so the moniker is only used nostalgically nowadays!
