I'm based in Southampton; can anyone recommend anyone in the area for de-chroming? I don't mind travelling a bit for someone who'll do a good job. Thanks!
If it's just a body stripe, any wrapper or sign writer should be able to make one for you. I believe most people on here who have stripes (myself included) are non-factory fitted.
You'd be amazed at how truly ham-fisted I am. I'd much prefer to pay someone to fit a tried-and-tested setup!
As for the JWR kit, I think they finished it off. Keen to hear the opinions of anyone who's had it fitted :)
I've still got a year left on my warranty, but will be looking to replace my factory-fit oil cooler with an aftermarket alternative when the warranty does run out.
What options are out there so far and has anyone tried them? How much are they paying and what's the quality like?
I've heard...
Shortly after collecting my car 2 years ago, I noticed a fairly quiet metallic clink sound about a second after changing from P to S, D or R. It sounds like two bits of metal knocking together. I had it in with the dealer; after which it seemed to go away for a while. However, since then, I've...
That specific phrase refers to DRL's, but I would say as long as there isn't any significant reduction in light output or change in colour for tail lights, you'd be fine. As with a lot of these things, will be down to the discretion of the tester, but I can't imagine it would cause much drama...
I've got two replacement tints on the way for mine; I didn't get those on quite as well as I would have liked. What's the best way to remove the old film? Hairdryer and carefully peel it off?
My garage door is 202cm at the narrowest (where the door mechanism runs inside the weather strips). It's tight, but if I can get it through the door. You'll be fine if you have 208cm.
My tints are now fitted, but there are a few stubborn bubbles I can't get rid of. What's the best way to deal with it? Pin prick to clear the bubble, then go over it with a hair dryer?
Had mine serviced in June, have done maybe 1000 miles since then and it came on the other day. So, assuming they reset the reminder at last service, I'd say something's not quite right.
I was going to drop the dealer an email about it. Seeing as it's put away for the winter though, I wasn't in...
Just wondering, what are the results like when using a hair dryer, or am I better off picking up a cheap heat gun? If using a heat gun, what kind of temperature would be recommended?
