First wash since last October!

Same here, yesterday (like you), and also since October (like you) … :like:

Consumer hybrid ceramic (Turtle Wax) held up really well, and it came out surprisingly smooth and slick (outdoor kept). Took a bit longer than normal as I did a double foam, doubled up on each panel with the two bucket, and also two wash mitts (a short and long pile).

I left the wheels as the rust from the rotors will make a mess of them real quick, I will do those properly when it’s back on it’s normal wash routine next weekend (ready for its first meet of the year on Sunday).

Photos from today, so it’s already accumulating dust and debris :

The only issue so far, but it wiped off real easy :

I might consider trying to cover / mask off the vents for next year.

Four years on, and I’m still getting
(euro) cavity wax residue coming out of the door drains that stains both the paint and plastic …

APC, masking tape, ceramic and dressing - it’s a been a regular job over the last few years …

I’ve not been running it since it’s been off the road, but it fired perfectly and ran clean :

It will get taxed on the 1st, but it did get a little drive around the block, allegedly … :like:

Looks great! Temps finally were in mid 60F so I pulled out all the gadgets and didn’t have to about freezing temps! I also got on a coat of Gyeon ceramic detailer.

Finally got around to putting my new side scoops on, picked them up from a member here PrecisionPaint. His work is flawless and paint match is spot on. Highly recommended if you are looking for painted parts.

Replaced my wiper arms and blades (the original ones were sun faded from years outside). But of course my bone head knocked one of the nuts into the driver side front fender void, never to be seen again. I even used my borescope to try and see where it went, but it's not visible anywhere. Might have bounced into that area under the door sill for all I know. Can't be bothered to take apart all the plastics to find it, so I'll just get a new one from the dealer tomorrow...

Yeah, it's my fault but also, why the hell is that void accessible in the first place? I know I'm not the first person, nor will I be the last, who drops something down there lmao
Oh for sure, there’s been many a part or socket or nut lost to the fender abyss over the years.

I agree, seems like a weird spot to leave open/accessible.

I once lost a brake fluid reservoir cap down that abyss… Had to pick up a new one from the dealer the next day.

Because Ford Performance ETA for Track Handling Pack kit is now Mid-August at least :( , I put back the car together (rear arms / front FP arms / PP1 belly , sway bar links) and will go for an aligment this week.
