As Thoreau said, "Most men lead lives of quiet desperation" and as such they want to see a Mustang "get on it" to live their auto-fantasies out. They know their Versas are crap, but they want to see a car they only wish they were driving. Just saying...

I usually run into a lot of rice box or euro cars. I have a 2.9 whipple so it's super quiet. Then I hit the gas and it's bye felicia!

Every Altima driver I see drives super aggressively as if they have a race car.
It's so true. Ever since this thread I laugh quite a bit when I see them all attempting to zip and cut across 3 lanes to end up exactly where they'd be if they stayed in the same lane.

I literally have had like no one try to race me. One time a 12 5.0 did but we did it after 3 honks and gave each other thumbs up as I exited the freeway. Didn't workout well for him since I have a 2.9 whipple lol.

Lots of fast cars in this city. It's rare somebody tries to race me. Rare.

Eta.. not suggesting they don't dare. I'm very aware I'm not the fastest thing out there.

Yesterday, this fool in BMW 335i. It looked no newer than an 2009...anyways for some reason, I could tell which cars want to race by the stupid look some people have. This guy all his windows down, just had that look like he thought he was the shit...There was traffic and i was on the other side of the line, this guy literally pulls up next to me and revs his car like 50 feet past me. I just start laughing in my head, I could see this guy just dogging me from his side mirrors.

I'm not the type to race, but damn I would love to have a free pass one of these days and kill their ego in a race. This is like the third time this week now.

Other than a really sad looking 4th Gen Camaro and 2-3 Diesel trucks nobody has tried to race me.

Worse than the Altima drivers are the 10-20 year old trucks with open pipes who think their Chebby is now a race car.

I don't have problem with the race challenges, as most of my driving is interstate and two lanes, but, the idiots in minivans, with wife and kids all seem to want get in front of me. And then slow down :( Of course I have to kill my cruise control, and then repass them. The Prius drivers from Washington and Arizona (tourons = tourist morons) are also left lane bandits, with women Prius drivers being the worst violators of the Drive Right Except to Pass law.

I have found that it is usually the kids or adults that need to compensate for driving a car that they really don't like or makes them feel inferior. Rather than even giving the the pleasure of trying to involved...I just drive off normally. I know in my mind that they might feel satisfied, but really they just go away miserable.

Many lifted diesels, plenty of over-engineered Nazi sleds, too many "stanced" four bangers and one GT-R that regularly cruised my area at the time.

I knew better with the GT-R when I pulled up to the light he was stopped at. Especially with the unmarked state trooper behind me that I noticed in my mirrors only ten seconds earlier. He wanted it and was revving hard for it. I tried to wave him off and show him I wasn't interested/stupid. Well, the left turn light went green (not the thru lane lights for our lanes, but the arrow for a lane he wasn't in) and he was all over it and off he went thru a red light banging gears. The trooper lit him up immediately, but he stayed in it a good 6-7 seconds more before pulling over.

Finished running my errand and in circling back 30 minutes later, I was just in time to see his carbon fiber splitter being returned to its raw state, as it was being drug up onto a flatbed tow rig while still in gear. The trooper that lit him up was already gone and only a local cop was on scene with the tow.

I'd venture to guess he got hauled in and jammed up with a misdemeanor or two. Haven't seen that car since.
