In my garage, a "built" motor is one I took apart and done "built" back together.
All kidding aside, I wouldn't describe a motor as "built" unless the bottom end has lots of new goodies, like an entirely new block, or a combination of crank, rods, pistons, bearings, etc.
Lots can be done...
Just inquired with Lethal on this issue. Mine has become progressively worse in only a week's time. First it was one diode, now it's 5-6.
I found moisture inside the lens where the balum wire plugs in. While letting it hang freely and thinking about how to get the water out, it began to weep...
This is a lame article. First, it's really only applicable to Premium packaged cars. My Base GT has a very big and easily accessible hazard button. If this article was written by someone with their eyes wide open, they'd have mentioned the difference between packages and the button setups...
I dipped my faux valence, deck lid and around the tail lights to eliminate all the gloss black plastic look. It's out of place in my opinion. I did my badges in matte metallic grey too.
I'd like to add something here. Bare with me, I've had an exciting two days since I started following this thread.
My Big Mouth, on a stock air box, has yielded a peak of 1.1psi and will maintain 0.7psi until about 100mph when punching the throttle in fourth gear from a boil (3500rpm or...
I'd like to see you pull this off. However, having gone thru replacing a mirror on my driver side door, it is going to be a PITA just in the assembly/disassembly. You're going to have to fool the car into thinking the door is closed to get the window all the up to access the mirror armature...
Thanks for posting this. I just completed the same grill last week and have been pondering how I will mount my gunmetal pony in the grill. I will be going your route.
Great work and very industrious.
I measured decal bed on my WT mats, as I'm interested as well. The driver side sticker eventually came off, so I peeled the passenger side and tossed them both a few months ago.
Width of the decal bed is is 1 and 5/16 inches. Length is just a hair shy of 4 and 3/4 inches. IRCC, there was...
Hello Paul,
After looking for almost a year and getting budgets set on mods, I think the Verona M149's are the wheels that need to be on my 5.0. I'm looking for your recommendation and a quote on wheel size and offset.
I'd like to run 275/40/19 squared up all year, between max performance...
10mm deep socket, left handed rubberrized glove (latex, gardening, dishwashing all work) and Kung fu grip/old man strength and you're looking at 3 minutes to get it off. Maybe 4 minutes if you have to break it free with open ended wrench.
Firewall and intake plugs can be sourced at Ace for...
I found 3/8" steel "spacers" in my local Ace Hardware's cable clamp bins - not sure what purpose they serve in clamping wire rope. Inner diameter allows for 1/32"-1/16" tolerance.
Cost was $1.68. Favorite mod so far and really rethinking buying a heel/toe pedal set as I am getting better each...
Can't answer your question specifically, but I can speak to my experience. This was my first mod other than 11hp's worth of Plasti-Dip.
I haven't had any temp issues or any noticeable changes in my temp gauge reading. The tank does get hotter than the plastic tank though.
It looks awesome...
I park curbside daily. I'm still a stock Base GT. Here's my parking life hack.
When I back in parallel, I put the green/yellow/red line on the crease of the curb and it gives me a perfect 5-6 inches away, everytime. Parallel being the operative word.
When pulling in forward along a curb...
If you can sort out the amber corners when braking, I'd call this a win. Your ride looks dope with them and has me wondering how those would look on my Bringot Silver Metallic.
