What cars constantly try to race you?

For me it seems to always be a fucking Altima 2.5s.

While relearning idle after a battery disconnect, an Altima cuts 2 lanes over to my left at a stop light. He rolls down his window, yammers about racing to the 405 freeway a mile away and burns rubber when the light turns green. A green Ford Ranger peeled out with him to my right.

Guys... I was trying to let my car relearn idle after a battery disconnect. Friendly pulls on an empty freeway are one thing but street racing is just stupid IMO. Save it for the track.

Every Altima driver I see drives super aggressively as if they have a race car. I don't do street racing, but I've had some random cars try to race me - Mazda 6, Cobalt SS (rice edition), Civic Si (surprise!), CTS-V, Altima, Intrepid, etc. I usually catch up with them at the red light

To my surprise, I've never had a vette try racing me. It's usually a challenger or charger, or just some Diesel truck that just wants to be silly. I had one camaro challenge me a few days after getting my car.

It seems to me that the Prius has got to attract the worlds worst driver that being said they don't try to race me but they do try to keep their lead in the left lane doing all they can to keep me from getting in front of them. It kills me how guys buy these cars to save a little cash but end up the most miserable people alive because of that fuel saving ability. As far as trying to race me it's a mustang everyone wants to race it.

Small BMWs challenge me every week here in central Texas. I can't really say what models they are as all those little German boxes look the same to me. Only brand of auto I never was interested in...ever.

I am no road racer (or rager), eiither...but the thing about this car is, it's always awake and ready to rock even when you aren't. It can be before dawn and there are maybe 8 cars at the light...light turns green and the car looks and sounds aggressive upon takeoff when you aren't even trying. Everyone is way behind you in the mirror but you have just barely stepped on the pedal.

Never fails though...this very behavior (of the car) attracts some real boneheads sometimes. If there is some hyper Bimmer driver next to me at the lights, chances are high that when I take off the guy assumes I am trying to race him and absolutely insists on making a big production while leaving me in the dust...I couldn't care less, sorry. It's freakin 5:30am and I am not yet even caffeinated, ya dufus. :headbonk:
