Just bought a 2023 5.0 two weeks ago, it’s going to the dealer Monday for a mysterious water leak from the dash after it rains… anyone encountered this? Pics below.

Check on the outside. There are some seams in the windshield. The seam sealer might have teared leaving a pinhole for water to get through. The seams are on the top left and right corners of the windshield.

Seems like the very common A-pillar leak.

Like I said in that thread, in the video "A Faster Horse", a documentary of the making of the S550, they joke about the A-pillar water leak.

Here is the video: https://tubitv.com/movies/500135/a-faster-horse
Jump to about 12 minutes in and you will hear this: "So okay up in this a-pillar joint here. There's an air leak. Through here, there's a water leak". Then the chief engineer jokes "Other than that, this was the best joint we've ever designed."

Got good news, windshield just needs to be resealed and will be done tomorrow! Nice having a warranty after voiding it on my last vehicle… lol

Maybe you saw this thread, or maybe not…. However similar water leaks were due to the actual metal seam between the roof and A-pillar BELOW the windshield seam sealer was found to being the issue. The only correct way to fix is to remove the windshield and fix the seam breach.

I’m sure gooping up the windshield channel around the glass or by doing same under the A-pillar interior plastic *might* work depending on leak severity, but hopefully the leak won’t return if that is your Service Center’s method of repair.

After my SC install I notice that after a car wash some water would end up on the ground under the pedals. So weird lol

I got confirmation today that the metal seam is the cause of the leak on my 2021 GT. Every time I washed it it would cause water to run down the A pillar and into the drivers side floorboard. Dealer says it's in the body shop right now getting fixed. Hopefully I get it back the middle of next week.
Thanks to this forum, when I dropped off the car I did mention to my service advisor that I read where mustangs had problems with the seam not being sealed properly. I got the standard response, "We've never seen that before".

Same here. We are going the lemon route due to ours being frame.

Yes fortunately they did!
wouldn't that be a simple fix, I mean a windshield re set and that pin hole?
There s a buy for someone with price adjusted buyback car.

I’m sure it’s not a bad repair as far as the frame stuff. Only thing is car was getting basically flooded for 6 months straight… so a lot of interior needs to be replaced as well, and likely dash as the water was coming out of there. Just something I thought was worth fighting for because I didn’t wanna pay a new price for a car that needed such large repairs. Great for somebody looking for buyback price though once repaired.
