Honestly I think we are done with 93, its just too risky to keep pushing hard on it, going to move on to E30, and see what it will make, honestly this turbo is easily good for 500+WHP with good fuel in the car(100% E85 on PI, or race gas).
However 400/400 on pump gas with methanol is a different story, right?Depends on who is asking. Safe is prob one the most relative terms in the automotive performance world. I feel we can 100% get 400/400 consistently on pump gas, and the turbo is not working terribly hard, but its hard on the motor as that is not a lot of octane for that boost, and timing. We have lost a lot of motors on other platforms trying to appease people with sky high pump gas numbers Including a $12,000 built motor...:(. We made what we feel is a comfortable 380WHP/409WTQ. Others can push harder if they want to get 400/400 or higher on pump, we are going to move on to E30
380/409 is good enough for me until I get a proper fuel system set up. Rather be safe than sorry. Good work. Im looking forward to pay the left over to get this turbo home.Depends on who is asking. Methanol is fuel, and very high octane fuel. On the BMW's we cant really make much over 500 on pump gas only, throw a meth kit on the car, and you can push them to 650. Pump gas only is pump gas only, if anyone wants more on pump gas you can do some pushing on your own. I wont lose a motor trying to run 30 psi on 93 to get 20 more WHP, when all I have to do is put proper fuel in the car, and it will make much more power. However 400/400 on pump gas with methanol is a different story, right?
I rather be safe than sorry. Whatever I can pull safely on 93 is fine with me. Don't want to blow my motor for a glory pass.Methanol is fuel, and very high octane fuel. Didn't log it, and those factory sensors are basing all that off calculations not an actual MAF sensor so they are never accurate of what the turbo is really doing. This turbo is rated in the 60 lb/min zone, its really going to shine up up top, it will be able to support some serious power, for not so serious money..:cheers:What was the peak airflow(lbs/min) on the 93 tune?
Lots of stuff going on. Dyno time basically takes up a whole day. We will get back to it once we can.Come on let's see some more results!
The anticipation is killing me.Come on let's see some more results!
