Do you experience vibration and rumbling between 50 and 70 mph?

You will feel it in the steering wheel, floorboard and seat. It's a high speed vibration/buzz. You can be on the smoothest of roads and at a certain area of speed it creeps in. To eliminate tires or a bad wheel you can rotate them through with a test drive in between to see if the vibration moves around the car. If it does it's a tire/wheel. If it doesn't , it's driveline.

I feel something but it's not to bad like I can't tolerate it.... it's just hard to distinguish between if it's the road or the car

CASE AND POINT
I wouldn't have known it was an "issue" if it weren't for this thread. Especially considering the car did it since the day I brought it

thats how mine was for a while. If you decrease speed it should go away at some point. Thats how you know. Vibration in steering wheel, back, or floor board. It wont be crazy vibrations, but like mentioned high speed type of vibes. It used to just sound like a really fast rotating sound to me with windows up no radio on. It eventually started making my hands numb after 40 minutes of driving.

Dealer had the car wednesday and never gave me a call before the weekend.lol i should know something about mine by monday

If it wasn't for this thread, I probably would of never noticed . Now there is a certain amount of paranoia / over-thinking in me .

If you ever want to get together to compare , let me know

So just to give hope to others with this issue, I had a fairly noticeable vibration between 60-70 MPH with it being the worst at 65. One trip to the dealer and they replaced the driveshaft and now my car is riding smoother than ever.

I had my DS replaced at about 3K miles , at about 5K miles I was still hearing it , but less so. I had a dealer hook up the NHV analyzer and they said it was in spec. I think mine has gotten better over time , because now mine is either not noticeable , very slight , or I'm way too used to it . (8k miles)

well my car has been at dealer since Wednesday morning. They said they feel the vibration but are waiting on ford to respond as to what to do with it. (Even though they have the SSM i gave them) I guess its good they aren't just throwing parts at it... The f150 rental makes me miss the mustang even more.

FYI. Report this as a vibration and not a "sound". Reported to two dealers as a noise which both said they didn't hear (though i did)

Ask to take a road test in another 17 on their lot. If there's no vibration ask to have them swap that driveshaft into yours and see if it makes a difference

Has anyone thought of trying the STEEDA IRS alignment bushing kit. Maybe these will align the IRS and driveshaft thereby correcting all the drive line angles.

Yes, people in this thread have , and it has fixed some , and not others.

This is probably a combination of factors causing the issue , and depending on which one is primary in causing the issue on your car , the fixes are different .

Welp dealer gave me the run around. Had the car for a total of 7+ days and they now say they dont feel the vibration (though they previously said they did). Idk guys, starting to want to just sell this thing. Ive had it 3 months and im already over it.

Called ford customer service got case escalated so there we go. I honestly think the dealer has no idea what to do with it. When i talked to service guy after all this i was PO'd he says they will balance the tires and clock the drive shaft even though there tech "advises there is no problem" :-/ He also a sly mother fr says things like "were under no obligation you bought it from another dealership, but thats ok i want to fix your problem". Man that makes me crazy. ANyhow, IF i can get some parts replaced or whatever.. cool ill lemon this thing first chance i get.

You are not alone. I try to ignore all the things but every time I drive it there it is. I don't have time to let it sit at a dealer for days and days and have them come back just like they did with you. Im just going to drive it until it breaks or something good comes along and dump it.

I'm in my 60's and have been through the wringer over the years with car dealerships. They don't give a rats derrière about anybody. They just go through the motions and try to get through the day.

My 15 GT vert started this vibration crap last summer at 1200 miles and the responses to the issue at the dealership level left a lot to be desired. When I start getting canned bs answers I give the problem to the next guy. I'm getting older and life is too short to screw around getting aggravated with these people. I traded for a new Chrysler Pacifica Van. I needed a new daily driver and I already had a ScatPac in the other garage with the Mustang, so I still had a toy to play with. I moved on and couldn't be happier that I did.

I feel for young folks that have limited resources and are forced to have to tolerate the dealers ineptitude to get their pride and joy properly taken care of.

Yeah i recently pondered if my stress level is worth this. At the end of the day car will get fixed, or ill go through the buy back one way or another. Was thinking about a camaro ss, but those guys got their own issues lol (differentials)
