Do you experience vibration and rumbling between 50 and 70 mph?

So the center diff is shifting in the bushings and that's causing the vib????

But some people are reporting the problem almost from day 1 when the bushings are brand new.
On the assembly line they do not truly square the cradle they have a "Slop Factor" they can play in. I think the spec they provide the line is either too large or they are not checking it to make sure it is square or within spec at all.

that is how I fixed mine. I squared the entire IRS Cradle with the front K-Member. When I verified that it no longer vibrated I installed the Steeda IRS Subframe Support Brace and that locked it all in place. No vibrations any more

Well that sounds like an easy enough fix. Did you share that solution with FORD? If so what was there response?

Ive heard horror stories about removing the cradle bolts, to install steeda's alignment kit and the bolts not wanting to go back in again. Its the reason why I've held off putting my set in!

Cool you first squared the cradle and verified that doing this eliminated the Vib, then installed the Steeda braces. If that worked then I will have them put my shaft back in recommend squaring it up. Then test drive and hope for the Best.

So you didn't use steeda's alignment kit?
nope. I actually measured off of the K-Member mounts to truly square it with the chassis.

look around page 7 of the Maximum Motorsport K-Member install instructions. Now instead of putting the plumb bobs on the rear put them up front on fixed even points, say kmember mount bolts, and square the irs brace off of those points.

When building the fox body car into dirt cars I had a spec sheet with all chassis and body measurements and specs. I am unable to locate one for the S550. Does anyone have these.?

you have no remorse. You cannot lemon it because you are not the original owner and I bet it has been more than a year since it was sold the first time. Your only hope to have them do anything is if you can trace its VIN history and find out it was a lemon and they did not tell you.

For my money if you like the car, other than the vibration, I would get the Steeda IRS Braces, NOT THE ALIGNMENT KIT, and square your IRS Cradle then install the braces to see how it does. I would be willing to bet anyone that reports the issue fixed and then comes back would be good if they let them "Fix it" and then install the braces to keep it in align. I think the lower durometer bushings in the cradle allow it to shift over time.
Missed this post from earlier today.

Is there any added or enhanced road noise with the Steeda sub brace?
