Does this fit Airaid intakes ?
Yes - basically it will work with any intake since it is n front of the oem "tube" that is affixed to the car and isn't replaced by any of the intakes.

Removing the screws from behind the wheel arches are an absolute ball ache.

I completely removed the grill and the difference is really noticeable. The car picks up more quickly and the power delivery is much smoother. I was really shocked that I even noticed anything at all.
What about the intake air temps ?

I'm not 100% sure about the RTR grill. A few people asked me about that, but I never test fitted it to an RTR grill. I might have to get a local car with an RTR grill to know for certain. But I dont know when that will happen.
I just got the rtr grille but haven't installed either part yet. I will share what happens when I do.

it has an engine!
Thanks for the input guys, I made a few changes to make it easier. I shortened it by about 1/4".
I had to shorten mine more then 1/4th inch for the dusold grills. Which is an oe grill modded with mesh put on. I probably had to take half an inch off the back end

Good to hear!

My R&D cars feel the throttle response and power delivery effects mutual to what you describe. It is hard to measure on a dyno because of obvious reasons, but what you are feeling is more airflow and less of a transient delay between throttle being closed and going to WOT. The air availability is instant because there is very little pressure drop from intake path all the way to airbox.

I wouldnt let you guys down, duh!

That doesn't make me feel good. I haven't even installed mine yet and now I'm worried. I didn't want to have to cut anything.

I'll PM you guys for an exchange with the new revised part.

EDIT:

I'll tell you what I did to help with the clearances. I cut back the back side by 0.380", I reduced the height of the pedestals by 0.060" and also shortened them by 0.150" so they are less noticeable. Bringing these tolerances down will leave some extra room, this wont change the performance. I am also applying the new chemical blend treatment to the new BIG MOUTHs for the smooth finish.

Here are a few more shots of some more rides.

The colors are beautiful with the new treatment process.

This is applied here on out to all intakes.

That would definately be an improvement, I found it was pushing on the front bumper and made it more difficult to refit once the big mouth was installed.

I had to take around 1/2" from mine to allow re-fitment of the bumper, so glad to hear Velossa have rectified this issue on future ones, will make install a lot easier.
