I’m shocked no one here has called the dealer yet so get more info. There’s obviously a story behind it. I think it is a ford dealer. Future Ford?
Niz55 if you paid $55K for an R let me know if you want to sell for the similar price of this used R of $52K. Heck I’ll gove you what you paid for it.

eBay has a set of CF R wheels for $7,500. Buy the R. Get these wheels. Win, win!

They were probably the ones stolen off the car in the first place....

I'm pretty sure the Dealer knows the car has replica wheels now. Kinda hoping the seller got full price on the trade in with this dealership!

This same dealer is selling a new R for $128,610 and a '18 standard GT350 for $92,585!! :frusty:

I paid $55k for a new non R with electronic. But this is a used 2016 without the carbon wheels so 52k is a fair price. Remember this car has no AC and nothing. Is been at the dealer for over 3 months.

The dealer knows it doesn't have OEM wheels. The description even says "Aluminum Wheels". That said, just because it has a tow hook, doesn't mean it was tracked heavily, or even at all. I bet there are a few people that installed tow hooks and never tracked their cars. Maybe they planned on hitting the tracks, but never got the chance yet? 3500 miles is nothing. THAT said, I still wouldn't buy the car if it didn't come with the original carbon fiber wheels. That's the main allure of the R. Buying a set off eBay after the fact just wouldn't feel the same to me if it wasn't the set that came with the car.

Great price for someone that wants to drive the shit out of it on the track though! I love that it's a base model since those are pretty damn rare.

After paying 10k for wheels you be at 70k for a used 2016 R. You can get a new 2018 for 5k over.

If they dropped it down to under $50k wouldn’t be bad as a 2nd R. Wheels or no wheels.

lol @ people who go from telling everyone that they know it's not an R to being an authority on used R values in the matter of 2 posts. Purchase confirmation running DEEP.

Just can't get enuff!
Softer nowadays but many preowned R"s are still commanding over msrp from what I gather..... and they'll all vary anyway depending on condition, mileage, region, timing, etc.

I know someone who just bought a used (the dealer owner's car) like-new '16 R with 200 miles on it for 70k (66.5k msrp) from a Ford dealer. It wasn't easy for the buyer though.... alot of negotiating and the trade-in value was approx 4k below what was expected although the tax credit helped to offset. But an R is an R. A happy buyer in the end.

A few sold examples here if we take them at face value... who knows though since especially on ebay.

My concern was that the values would have dropped with the GT500 announcement and the rumor of a '19MY. I was one of those people on the fence about selling off one of my R's to go towards a 500 purchase. The 500 wont be ready for a while and there is no need to sell. That gap in time is making me think about not selling at all.

ADM's are still there, but have come down. Depending on the market, it seems to be that 5K can be done with a little bit of work. The biggest challenge is finding one or an allocation that is not spoken for. It will be interesting to see what the market holds if/when the above variables play out.
