So as I am sure you are all well-aware, the market is overflowing with low-mile, used 2016 and 2017s. What I am trying to figure out is where the best deal is considering I do prefer having both Nav and rear spoiler.

2016 Used w/ Technology - 2-3k miles: $52k-$54k
2017 Used w/ Convenience - 1k miles $57k
2017 New w/ Convenience - $61k

About me: I churn through cars quickly so minimizing depreciation is important.

Remember the new car comes with a day of drivers school at Ford Performance Driving School.

Take the 2016 tech off of your list. Get the 2017 with the coolers.

I'd buy a new '17. The Track Attack event, Owners kit and everything else that comes with being the original owner of a new car trumps saving $4-5K on a used '17.

2017 all the way! No brainer! And let me say this, you could probably get the 2017 at a dealer for $2K off sticker (at least that's what I'd shoot for right now at a minimum)

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your input.

The track school was not something I have heard of before. I have a ton of free airline miles to burn up and this sounds like a great way to put them to use.

I was faced with this just two saturdays ago. I decided on a NEW 17. I had found two used 17's with 500 miles and another with 800 miles, in decent colours. One was s ruby-red with black roof /stripes and electronics for 59k. The other was a lightning blue /black stripes, electronics, no black roof. It was 57k. After using a auto service from my office, I was able to find a new 17 sticker with all the options I wanted. (Black Roof, Electronics)...in my sig basically with 5 miles.

I am happy I waited and kept looking. buying new is always better, and heh I had forgotten about the track day and the other owner things you get for buying new. 300 smiles and counting. Loving it.

I bought a Used 17 and after a month of owning it and 2 weeks in the body shop (after discovering the last owner put a bird through the grill and hastily fixed and sold) I am never buying a used car again... at least not for me
