So I got meatballed this past Monday for my belly pan coming loose.
Front was still attached, but back side was flapping like crazy.
I was able to zip tie the back to the frame to get back on track, but wondering if there is a better solution?
If I go to the dealer to reinstall, I’m think it will just happen again.
Looking for better attachments.

thanks.

Perhaps a rear attachment point broke and that's why it was flapping. I've never had this issue.
Otherwise, you could simply keep using zip ties. It doesn't need to come off all that often.

Something out of the ordinary happened that it came loose, maybe you hit some debris or ran over the curbing and it dislodged the clips. But generally it's not something you need to worry about. Maybe drill a few extra holes and use some zipties for more backup mounting points especially on the edges.

I haven’t been under mine yet to see how Ford attaches it from the factory, (assuming plastic 2 piece push pins) but I’m a huge fan of riv nuts. Easy to install, makes on and off easy, and much better than what I am guessing is the usual push pin solution Ford uses.

I know a few M1 guys did that with the front splitter in lieu of the plastic rivets.

Its mainly fine thread screws into plastic nut inserts. Alot of them. A nuckle head could strip them out very easily.
