How big of a percentage of ALL Mustang orders, do you think this forum makes up? I guarantee its tiny.

I live in a fairly big city, Jacksonville, FL. 5.0 Mustangs are rare compared to the v6's. 90% of the time if I see a Mustang, its a v6. Most people can't afford a $32k+ car.
If you want a Mustang Convertible, the "starting price" begins at $31,000 for a Base V6 Vert!

All those cars are rentals. I think we have a decent sample on this forum.
If those cars are going to dealers, I wouldn't necessarily think they are fleet vehicles. Likely they are ordering a lower priced entry to get people into a 2015 car.

I see hardly any Convertibles around. Its too hot and humid for that down here.
I`m in South Florida and spend a lot of time in the Florida Keys. From Oct to May is "Perfect" Convertible weather! Pleasant temperatures, little rain, and even more enjoyable in early and late evening. From June through Sept when its hot, humid, and raining ever day, the Top is up and the A/C is on. Whats the problem? If Mustang dropped the "Vert", they would lose (1) sale, mine. I personally would not purchase (any) Vehicle without 4 Doors, only exception being a Convertible.

In general, it would be the case that retail orders come in first, but since this is a new model introduction, the dealer stock units are the ones being built now. It's no slam on the trustworthiness of your dealership. I suspect they are relating what the typical experience would be. This launch period is not the typical one.

Over 1/3rd of those cars are GT's and GT Premium's.

No problem. I am just not much of a van of 80+ degrees. October through November it stays in the 80's. December through March is the only time of the year where it constantly stays below that.

So Job #2 is expected to be late September, but we still cannot place orders? Maybe I missed something not keeping up with the forum, but I haven't heard anyone being able to order a convertible yet....

Don`t forget, average temperatures for JAX is higher and hotter then MIA! Its crazy but Florida is upside down when it comes to that. Being closest to the Gulf Stream in Palm Beach County, the temperature increases the further "north" you go up the State. Orlando is (crazy) Hot since it is located so far from either Coast mid-state, and gets little Ocean breeze.

Really depends on your area, but I'd probably say it's more accurate to say that people who can afford to spend more on a car are leasing a 3 Series or a C class.

Or those (in my opinion) hideously ugly CLA's that are more common than Honda Civics around here now...

Its probably all the damn pine trees up here stopping the wind.

I agree, Mercedes "crapped the bed" with that CLA Class monster. The B-Class that never made it south from Canada is a much nicer Vehicle. Wait until the new 2015 C-Class 250 & 300 hit the Dealers. At 41K they will "fly" off the lot!
