Just got an email from one of the dealers I'm working with in the Chicago area. He say they have 2 EB premiums and 3 GT premiums on order for stock. All fastbacks, no ragtops. 1 GT has PP and another has 50th AP. He said they expected a NOVEMBER delivery date. I was hoping to test drive both an EB and GT before I order a new ragtop.
From what my dealer explained yesterday, retail orders will arrive before stock orders. Some may have had some built during the august manufacturing, but dealerships aren't expecting any real inventory until November. Once OKTB has been achieve, retail orders take priority.

I'm not so sure. I mean... around my dealer, there are only 6 or 7 mustangs showing up on inventory. I know they have more dealer stock than that, simply because all 4 dealers in my area sell for the whole state. So where are the other cars? Either they are not in production and waiting for the allocation cycle, or they haven't even been assigned a vin yet. If that is the case, I doubt the dealer would be happy when retail orders start piling up taking priority over stock orders, only leaving 1 or 2 on the lot to sell at MSRP.
Thats assuming they are out of 2014's. I would have to say most people aren't smart enough to know that the 2015's will be out in 2014. When MOST people go looking for a new Mustang right now, they are looking for a 2014. Us, the people on this forum, that are extreme enthusiasts make up 0.00001% of the market. Heck when most people go looking for cars, they don't even know what they want. They let a salesman talk them into the car they end up purchasing.

It goes along with the same reason we had a recession. Stupid people getting loans they can't afford with crazy high variable interest rates.

Most people don't even know what a 2015 Mustang is. I have yet to a see a commercial for one other than on these forums. Dealers aren't going to try and push the latest hottest thing without getting rid of 2014's latest and hottest thing.

usually for events like this, Ford will bring you a factory plated vehicle that dealer can have for a day or two before it goes to next dealer.
My dealer shows a ecoboost and a gt each but the the gt is fully decked with the appearance pkg in white awaiting shipment along with the same off an ecoboost then there are several others of each with a vin but in scheduling almost all gt with pp and decked out, a couple maybe without the pp and several eco with pp and everything else but no v6 lol

That's not what happened last time, when they redesigned the '13, stock orders came in 3-4 weeks ahead of any retail orders. & same with the 11's.

IMO everything will be much easier to figure out once there is an actual "In Transit" posted on COTUS. Until then, it's all speculation and "best guesses" :(

correct. Stock orders come in before retail orders 90% of the time. Specially on big releases like this one.

They are definitely pushing the EB!

According to the "what did you order" pole 80% are 5.0's.
How big of a percentage of ALL Mustang orders, do you think this forum makes up? I guarantee its tiny.

I live in a fairly big city, Jacksonville, FL. 5.0 Mustangs are rare compared to the v6's. 90% of the time if I see a Mustang, its a v6. Most people can't afford a $32k+ car.

Does anybody know if you can track all the cars based off a dealers code? there is only about 6-7 mustangs around my area on extended inventory search. That cant be right... I live in the capital of arkansas and have my order placed with the #1 dealer as well.
Extended inventory by me just keeps on growing. I live in Jacksonville, FL and its not at 30 exact matches found.

All those cars are rentals. I think we have a decent sample on this forum.

So are all those items listed parts they are low on and/or not building? I'm confused.

I`ve already Ordered a 2015 Mustang Base V6 Convertible (but) if I could have convinced myself of settling for a 2014 instead, what a savings I`ve found on "nearly new" Used Off Lease 2014 Mustang Convertibles. In both Miami and Palm Beach Florida, OffLeaseOnly.Com has a large selection of 14`s some with Premium upgraded Options, Leather, Shaker Radio, etc. Original MSRP of 32-34K with 12,000 to 22,000 miles for just $16,999! Add Tax, Title, (No Dealer Fee`s). Fifteen thousand savings buying a "14`" over a "15`"! Just add the Ford Extended Service Plan, (ESP) and drive away with a huge savings. I`m Insane, going to get the new 2015 anyway!
