To a certain degree it sounds correct but if it is a law, there is nothing Ford can do about it...it is the law. To say dealers are Ford's only customers, not entirely true or they would not be making all these vast improvements on their vehicles based on consumer input as far as an order process....on a normal basis, stock and retail orders are two completely different allocations I believe

Also, if they were not thinking of the consumers... they would have not set the dealer stock productions first as being the guinea pigs of production... those who have been impatient thinking their dealer stock was going to come first are now waiting to have issues corrected... if your dealer actually cared about your car and you of your own... would have stuck to retail order and not worry about flaws having to get redone... at this rate, I actually see retail and dealer stock that were done after the first run coming in before the first runs get delivered

Just curious. I found "Priority Code 10" in the source code in COTUS earlier. Can anyone give any insight on what exactly that means.? Is 10 the lowest priority? Also, I have no clue whether my order was dealer stock or retail. Thanks...

Priority code 10 is the lowest code a dealer can assign you for a retail order. Retail codes usually run from 10 to 19, with 10 being the "best" or first. You are a retail order.

Well I've been on order since 09/26 but no VIN yet. But I figured I wouldn't have one for at least a month and probably wouldn't see the car until late November early December. Just my guess. But I'm in no hurry. I'm in Florida so I'd have no problem driving in the winter!

Thanks for the info. I had no clue what any of this stuff meant. This is the second car I've ordered. The first car, I didn't really get "in depth" with it..
