Hopefully!

Perhaps Ford is just clumsily trying to get the release lined up w/ the release of the press embargo tomorrow? Like Perhaps the gag comes off tomorrow and then cars start getting to dealerships Friday or Monday?!

We can only hope! :D
Not unless they drive them through the night to the dealerships personally :D

And yes I was just told by Ford they are delayed
Can you clarify what you mean by, "told by Ford"? By someone at corporate? Or by a dealership? Two different things if you ask me. Seems like others in the know have been saying that there is no new delay.

I think that Facebook post by Ford was confusion based on the OKTB date. I remember when the term OKTB was mentioned, people took it as a literal term that this is a date when cars will be available for purchase. However those in the know clarified to us that it's simply the day when stock cars passed QA checks and retail orders are good to start. It wouldn't shock me that the person who made the post on Facebook made the same mistake - despite working for Ford. And if OKTB has been given yesterday as it has been planned, then there is no new delay.

I'm good w/ that!

Seriously though, when this whole idea that the cars would be on lots today first came up I was thinking, "So do people believe these things are gonna be delivered in the middle of the night under cover of darkness Santa Clause style so we can all be surprised like Christmas morning?!"

My guess is that when dealership do start to get these cars and turn them over to people there will be all kinds of fanfare just shy of marching bands and fireworks as they roll off the trucks!

Scheduled Customer Ride and Drives start next week, so they have to have something at the dealership.

I guessing first run cars unless something changes quickly. But if it's select dealers they could get salable vehicles basically anywhere by truck in a 24 hour period so....

Yes, it wouldn't take a Rocket Scientist to know the target date of 9/9 past, anywho, OKTB is determined when a quality metric is achieved, and will adjust to the date when that happens. It is a very fluid date, but should be achieved very soon. In the mean time, drive by FRAP and watch the lots fill up.:ford:

I regret to inform you that all Canadian destined 2015 Ford Mustangs will be for "late availability" due to Transportation Canada specified Daytime Running Light and Halogen Fog Lamp requirements.
PS: Just kidding. Enjoy a Pint or two of Molson Export Biere while you wait.

Me too. They said my best bet would be to contact my local dealer for test drive...grrrr. They are as clueless as my local dealer is.:frusty: Even though you have to sift through a lot of rumors, guesses and hype these forums have been my best(only)source of credible information. Thanks M6G members one and all!

So these test drives are NOT demo cars being taken around to dealers, but actual dealer stock? What is weird is when I look up the dealer I have scheduled they don't even have any 2015's showing as "dealer ordered".

I dont know how far Ford take out their factory demo cars, but I know with us being in ohio and fairly close to Flatrock, in the past, Ford has brought over a factory Michigan plated vehicle for our demo and after 36-48 hours they would pick it up and take it to next dealer.
Of course with so many dealers so far away from factory , Ford isnt taking demo vehicles to ALL dealers, but rather have dealers use their stock units.
