Under 7k miles and engine started knocking

Was out of state this Friday and the car started making knocking noises. Pulled car into parking lot and had it towed to a Ford dealer close to current location since I was 160 miles from home. Any one else ever had this kind of issue? Ford did oil change at 6k miles.

Thats what mine sounded like when it gave out st 1.8k miles. They got it diagnosed and engine replaced fast.

That is also exactly what my motor sounded like right before it siezed a bearing and put a rod through the block. Happened on March 19th and i just got it back 2 days ago (52 days in the shop). Back ordered flywheel bolts held mine up. Take it to the best/biggest dealer you can...

I topped off the oil before I went on the trip ( I burn about a qurt every 800-1000 miles). Oil levels and pressure we're also good when the noise started.

Seems like I never have good luck with cars. The dealer said they would look at it on Monday and let me know.

That’s a random sampling of a pool of motors...,just like any other statistical analysis, they average the findings from the pool of motors or whatever, to give the published results. The larger the pool, the more accurate the results will be. But there is always deviation factors when compiling data. At the end of the day, our individual grand crafted motor had some preliminary running in by the builders, but’s it’s not 24 hour wide open throttle. Mine is a 2016 which had higher than normal oil usage up to about 11,000 miles. Now it’s tapered down to about 1-1.5 qt per 2500-3000 miles, whereas before it was about 1 qt per 750-1500 miles.
