Really enjoying the car. Couldn’t find any posts on this topic. Car is running great, question is about after I park it. I get home from work and once parked I hear this pretty loud metal clicking noise. Sounds like a mule kicking the tin man in the head. Usually goes on for five minutes after I turn the car off. It’s not a constant noise but happens about every 30 seconds for the five or so minutes. Is this normal? I’ve been checking the oil regularly with no issues.

Contraction of the metals as they cool (exhaust, brakes, etc.)

Aluminum hubs connected to cast rotors with pins....both metals heat and cool differently, so the rotors tink...

It definitely happens if you get the brakes hot enough. I've only noticed it on track days, though.

Haha our track attack class got yelled at for not doing a cool down lap, and the instructor said he could tell by all the brakes pinging in the garage.
