So I pre-ordered my Mustang on May 20th. The car was built the beginning of September. After months of hounding my dealer, Ford and anyone else I could think of, Ford finally contacted my dealer December 3rd and told them my car was un-sellable and they would need to build a new one.
I am fully aware that there are quality control issues associated with a new design, I accept that. I definitely don't want to receive a messed up car. What I don't get is how Ford can sit on my car for three months just to find out they did such a crappy job putting it together that they can't sell it. Myself and my dealer contact Ford several times over the last few months and were told there were no issues with my car. Clearly Ford never actually check on "my" car. I just got the runaround for months. This just seems like bad business to me.
If it wasn't for my salesman and dealership, and the fact that this Mustang is absolutely amazing, Ford would be losing a customer forever.
