I had a PP2. I used these wheels and tires for the track. They fit perfectly. They are square meaning they are all 305s and fit on the rim better than the original PP2. You cannot rotate front to back due to the brembo in the front. Here is a picture of the wheels from the front on the track.

I only use the Cup 2's at the track. The front tires appear to take more abuse than than the rear tires. I change out all four at the same time. I can get almost 10 track days before I have to replace them.
I have had a flat on two different occasions. I got a ride home and then went back with the floor jack and a full size tire and wheel. That is just the way it works.
I have a PP2 and track about 12 days a year. No need for any upgrades. A second set of wheels and tires are needed. The only thing I put on was some jacking rails to make the tire switch faster.
