Like xtang22 said, you need to disconnect the mic. Just pull the headliner down and disconnect the rear mic. That will fix the sub problem.

Any suggestions on how to remove the top decklid to unplug the mic? I heard there are two clips holding it up but I can't see them.

Did you need to disable the noise cancelation? If so how? just unplugging the mic above the rear seats?

I used an LC2i LOC and tapped into the rear speaker wire. I also used the blue/white wire from the rear harness for amp turn on. I used an amp wire kit for everything else. The amp and sub work fine but now steering wheel controls are gone. How did you fix this one your Focus?

7 months. Ordered May 12, received December 22. Worth the wait though.

So after installing an aftermarket amp and sub, all the controls on my steering wheel including turn signals and wipers stopped working. I've gone through all the fuses and they're all good. Any ideas?

So after tons of researching, I'm still asking. What is the color of the turn on wire, say for turning on an amp. I've heard it's the blue/white but when I tried, nothing. I'm pulling from the rear wire harness?

I put on an ipad cut to fit screen protector. You can't even tell it's there, but still protected just in case.

Of course just make sure the screen is completely clean. I used a rolled up piece of scotch tape to remove any remaining dust particles. Works great.
