Jimmy I feel the same way. Told my wife I would buy a Dodge or Camaro but I know I would be disappointed if not driving my Mustang. We are at the mercy of Ford. Very sad.
It's really sad the way Ford has handled the entired rollout of the S550. :frusty: When other automakers were taking handouts from the government to avoid going bankrupt, I was so proud of Ford. I even went out and showed my support by buying stock in Ford. After the way I and others on this forum have been treated I am about ready the sell all of my stock.

I too am tired of waiting, knowing that so many on this forum have waited a lot longer then I have. I am going to look around to see what's in stock. If I didn't love Mustangs so I'd get my deposit back and go buy something different.

ORDER / PRICE / TRACKING

I do not understand what in the heck is going on with some of these orders!

Just asking, not saying it's right but it seems that most orders placed before the Ok to buy date are getting screwed. It's almost like they were left in limbo, pushed behind dealer stock and dealer retail for who knows what reason.

I thought that the first guy in was going to be the first guy out. In some cases, I think that happened like with Zombie and a few others. It has to be dealer connected IMO!

I didn't order right out of the gate because I wanted to see the car in person, sit in it, adjust it for fitting me and so on. I just couldn't bring myself to buy sight unseen, it was my first ever Ford. So I waited from May until October.

I got a call from a local dealer on Friday. Oct 10th that a 2015 Mustang would arrive on Sat Oct 11th, boom car arrive's, bottom line, beautiful! I want one.

Monday Oct 13, 2014. I go to the dealer and order my Mustang...

2015 Mustang GT Fastback, Premium, 400A, 6 speed manual, Ingot Silver, Performance Package, Premium Leather Ebony w/ Accent Trim, Enhanced Security, Voice Nav. Dealer price =$38,512 and change. Dealer says 8 to 10 weeks for delivery.

I go home imeediately get on COTUS, enter my order number and dealer number and Boom...theres my order with all the perminate information.

On October 16, 2014, COTUS shows my Vin Number.

Today October 25, 2014, my dealer emails me that Ford has said that my Mustang will be built on November 11, 2014.

So far so good, right on track and painless.

Jimmy don't do it... Sayville Ford is a huge dealer I bet they will get your car before most other dealers with your options because of the volume that they move... Patience man patience... You can have another car now but when your driving that car come spring and seeing all the other S550 Mustangs you will be wishing you waited.. Btw, did you deal with Jack Frost when you ordered?
Yep -- he was very knowledgeable and helpful. There's a guy who knows Mustangs! He also told me to stay away from this site or I'd go crazy.

Why don't you guys just look around and find one that's in dealer stock. There's plebty to choose from , specially at bigger dealers with big allocations.
I'd be fine with dealer stock, but there are no stock cars with the options I need -- non-negotiable are 50th anniversary appearance package, GT automatic, navigation, Deep Impact Blue. Preferably 401a. There was one such car in stock in Ohio but it's since been sold. I thought I had one upstate New York, but it was dealer ordered for a customer.

Yeah this whole deal has already ruined it for me. Really could not care less at this point. 40 grand for a car that gained weight and only 15 hp that gets worse fuel eco is all that is real to me now.

My thing is, I love my S197. People still compliment me on it. I wouldn't feel that an M235i or an S3 is "special." So I still wait.

SVTfreak is right, I saw a loaded 50th with 20" wheels just today here in Denver as well, in Ruby red, which is an awesome color BTW, and usually don't like red.

Same here -- loaded GT Premium with automatic. Canceled my order because there's no indication it will be scheduled any time soon. Placed a second order with a bigger dealership, but I'm seriously thinking about just shopping for an Audi S3 or M235i if I can't get the car by January.
you ordered after me and I just got my VIN last week. Give it a little more time.

May b good advice. My dealer said since this is taking so long that if I wanted to cancel the GT he would let me have a GT350 at cost. A little more than I want to spend and a longer wait but the performance upgrade would be huge.
