How did this build turnout? I just bought a new short block o-ringed Bear Ultra block that Holbrook Racing built with 11.7:1 Diamond Mod2k pistons, Manley billet I-beam rods, Gen3 crank. I also picked up a set of new Gen2 heads that I will probably be sending off to get ported, PAC springs and new/bigger valves. I will be running this combo with my VMP Gen3r blower. Figuring 1200-1500whp. I know someone with the exact same short block and it's made 1980whp.

Exactly, turn it all the way up and see what it does.

I mean what is all the way? Edelbrock won't tell me if going past an 18% lower and a 2.62" upper will over speed the unit. That's the upside down "new" version. Don't want to find out the hard way that's too much go flow.

Neither of those sound appealing. Just stay with the gen3r.
