That Whipple Gen5 3.8 liter will get you there easier/safer/better than the Gen3R. That being said, it will be interesting to see what comes of your efforts.

That Whipple Gen5 3.8 liter will get you there easier/safer/better than the Gen3R. That being said, it will be interesting to see what comes of your efforts.
Until about 950+whp, I'd take a TVS Gen3R over a 3.8L Whipple any day of the week.

An all out drag car turning 8300+ at 22+psi, sure the 3.8L will have an advantage.

My car put down 930whp before I added a FI interchiller sytem so it's just short of 1K rwhp at 19 psi. I imagine it will be 11-1200rwhp with the new motor with a 69mm upper and a 15-20% lower. I'm undecided if I will have the Gen3r head unit ported or not yet.

You'll lose bottom end hit going ported. If its 80+% street car, don't do it. If its drag or a dyno queen, go ahead.
