Yes you can datalog with the SCT X4, the nguage is just faster and easier.

Wow... a lot of great info here. Im currently on my 3rd tune. I started out with the can tune in the SCT X4, went to SVE for a tune, now have a Bama tune in there. Each change I made was a positive one. Im happy with my Bama tune but also have wondered am I getting everything I can out of a tune??? I ordered a tune from Steeda MONTHS ago. They got back with me a couple of weeks ago and now tell me they can not give me a tune for a catless car because of the Feds. $150 chalked up to experience there I guess. So I might try someone else soon just to see...the good thing is you can always switch back.

Steeda isn't really a tuning company, lund seems like the way to go.

I was very scared about tuning and trolled this place like mad finally deciding to use lund because of the good results and go through beefcake due to their seeming to always respond to questions and concerns as well as offer help. Glad to say my nguage was shipped quickly and took what seemed like only a few minutes to set up with great results

My first tune was a Bama 93 race tune , only mod was a CAI ( JLT ) .. The car run great ( 11.96 @ 115 ) .. I added headers and got a updated tune from Bama and it didn't run any faster , In fact it ran slower ... Got a custom tune and it ran no better that Bamas tune .. I traded in that 2015 M6 for a 2015 A6 car .. This time around I got a Lund tune and sct x4 tune package from Beefcake ..Only mods are a JLT intake that I had on the other car ..So far the Lund tune works great , drivability is spot on ..The auto trans shifts so nice , at half throttle the shift into second gear Barks the tires .. ( I Love that ) The shift points have been moved up to 7k in first and 7200 in the rest of the gears where it was 6500 in first and 6750 in the rest of the gears .. The car feels real strong but I will not know how strong until I get back to the track ..Stock I have run the best of 8.19 @ 88 in the 1/8 mile .. I'll know next week when I hit the track again what gains I got from the Lund tune .My butt dyno tells me it's faster but I don't trust my butt dyno on matters like tunes ..The track will tell me the real truth ..
