Piercing noise

It's not just a "squeak" it's a loud piercing noise. Definitely not normal.

Just had front brakes replaced.
When I took it in I got the usual "can't be that bad" remark.
So I recorded it on the Voice memo phone app. The file is zipped only for uploading.
Was able to get a 15 second long squeal. No questions after that
Found I could almost play a melody by feathering the brake and throttle
OBTW. There is an extra bolt required for the EB PP that is not in the kit for the GT.

I thought I was lucky that mine didn't squeal. Until this past Tuesday when it did it for the first time. And again yesterday.... I guess I'll be bringing this up with the service manager today when I go in for an oil change.

I was going to, but I'm having issues with my touch screen. They did a battery reset today, so I'm giving it a few days to see if they need to just do a reflash.

Is this just for 5.0 and ecoboost with PP, or does it cover the 5.0 without PP.
My 5.0 w/o PP is squealing, it is driving me crazy. Called the dealer today and mentioned the TSB, the service advisor was playing hardball about the issue saying all brakes squeak etc... I plan on taking it to the dealer next week, hopefully they will fix it.

It covers non pp GT's built up to a certain date. Check the TSB and your build date. Service Manager is full of shit. Brakes squeal when something was done incorrectly.

I brought mine in about 2 weeks ago for the brakes. The dealership didn't even test them, looked up the TSB my car fell in, they trusted me and swapped out the brakes no problem. Now I have some peace and quiet... at least from the brakes.

Thanks for the info. I.checked my build date and it and is in the required time frame.
I plan on taking it in Tuesday.

Mine squealed only after hitting a puddle. Took it in, but my build date was March so they won't do anything about it, which is stupid. Squeal happens the most when parking, basically low speed braking while turning or pulling up to a stop.

Took mine in today for the brake squeal. Should have it back tomorrow, dealer is replacing
Rotors and pads under warranty.
