Got an email Carfax today indicating a new TSB is out for 2015-2019 Mustangs (and other models) concerning the rear camera going out. No known fix as of yet that I could find.

Ford’s Recall # is 25S89.

Here ya go, it came out on 09/04, the doc contains the vehicles affected and what the issue is this time…. Owners won’t receive official letters until 09/22/25.

Seems the supplier changed parameters on the design without authorization resulting in cam operation issues.

Man, Ford is getting hammered with recalls on a pretty astounding scale. Can’t even fully blame Covid for that one.

My 2019 GT that I sold at 73K had no issues with the camera. Got lucky?

My screen is just starting to have issues at the bottom of the screen.

I’ve had a couple of instances on my 23 GT where the camera failed to come on… So far after a couple of restarts it’s gone back to normal

My 2016 had the original recall "completed" by Jones Ford in Charleston, SC. Their "fix" was to inspect the repair that I had done on the wiring harness before, verify that the camera did not work correctly, close the recall in OASIS, then hand the key back to me. The updated harness was never installed and I haven't gotten back in there to resolve the issue. Hopefully the dealer that's been handling recalls on my Bronco will be amenable to fixing the whole thing the right way, rather than the half-assed Jones Ford way. Either way, Ford has had so many issue with their rearview cameras. My Bronco also has a camera recall.

'21 GT owned since new. Out of the blue this summer I've been getting a black blank screen randomly on startup. It's happened 10 times approx. I press power and right track (I believe) together for a few seconds and it reboots and works fine. Wonder if this is related somehow?

I received notices of this recall as well. I was initially having issues with my 2016 Gt rear camera and took it in for recall notice 22V-082 / 22S06 back in 2022. They fixed the issue and have not had any issues since. I’m assuming this is a new issue from what they had already previously repaired or something wrong with their replaced components.
