Does anyone know, if the front splitter is fitted (no wickers) can you get the car onto an enclosed transporter truck.. Either truck with the ramps or vertical lift tail door without damage.

The splitter is shipped in the front seat to be dealer installed, there are also spacer blocks in the springs to let the car sit higher during transportation.

Ramps would have to be a long graduated pitch, manual says 7* max. Vertical lift would probably be better.

Sam, the splitter is not installed. It should easily fit on an enclosed transport. These guys do this for a living.

FYI - most of the higher-end transporters (Intercity, Reliable etc) that deal with exotics have lift gates that you drive on, requiring hardly any ground clearance at all (less than an inch).

Tom, The shipper I am dealing with was confident it should be OK to use the verticle lift door truck if the front splitter was fitted. The dealer wanted it in the show room for display so may have installed the splitter. I am checking with you guys just in case the splitter had been installed.

I shipped one of my Rs with the splitter attached. It was fine. The R sits lower than the 500. Just be sure a very thorough inspection is done by someone you trust just before it rolls onto the transport. Don't trust the dealer or the shipping company

I just checked since im in Southern MO. It's about a 5hr drive one way. I would love to do it for you but unfortunately i cannot. If anyone lives in the Iowa, davenport area it would be a short drive.
