In case anyone is interested, the Ctek battery tender is on sale for a pretty reasonable price on amazon.

I have a Noco Genius 2D mounted under the hood of my car. Wired to a ground on the strut tower and the hot is ran to the last screw in terminal on the fuse box. Tucked in beside the strut tower and zip tied to the wiring harness there for safe keeping while driving. It does have a very short AC cord so I run my extension cord up and thru the crack of the hood and headlight and plug in then tuck the plug in before shutting the hood. Works really good, easy to unplug when I want to go for a drive. I try to take mine out at least once a week, I hope to continue to do so thru the winter if I have a fairly good weather day since I installed some All Season tires.

I must have posted in another thread revolving around this because I don't see it here. I typo'd the name, it's IntelliCharge, and not IntelliCharger, my mistake. It's part of the CarCapsule that I have for the Mach to park in during extended times of not being driven. See the links above. This is the only picture I have of it at the moment.

Being in Tennessee, I wholly agree!
I would definitely end up running that thing over eventually. Fortunately my wire is dropped across my windshield cowl area so I'm reminded to unplug it.

FYI for the inquiring minds, the Bluetooth monitor & app WD Pro mentioned.

Will work with any battery & charger it's a stand-alone device that has nothing to do with the CTEK chargers.

Installed a CTEK yesterday. Pretty easy once I figured with post in the fuse block to use.

Is CTEK the best trickle charger? I've used the Battery Tinder but they're made in China and not sure I fully trust them now.

So is the CTEK but it’s high quality. Lamborghini and other similar manufacturers rebrand CTEK chargers and include them with their vehicles. The reviews are very good. No regrets here.

They are still a good, solid & reliable charger, have 2 taking care of my HotRods.

I have 6 NOCO genius 2amp tenders. They all work as designed and small form factor. I do have the quick disconnects on the battery since I always plug mine in when Im not driving it.

Thanks. I just purchased two. I'm sure I will like them, if so I will be getting at least a couple more. 🙂

It's not in it's permanent spot, although I do like how I have the cord ran through the fender vent and up behind the headlight so there's nothing draped on top of the side of the car.

I have a 7A CTEK (MXS 7.0) and yes, that's the profile in my charger :like:

I drop the charging cable through the engine bay and sit the charger under the car connected with a IP54 socket, once connected I push it arms length under the car.

It's in the CTEK rubber bumper and I have put rubber feet on its base so if any water puddles, it won't sit directly in the water :like:

I've washed (including jet wash) the car multiple times whilst it's been on charge with no issue :like:

WD :like:
This is my Charging or Winter storage trickle/Maintainer charging set up.

I second this one. Used last winter and again this one. Works fine. Only wish the bit that connects to battery was about four feet longer, to eliminate opening hood to hook up.

Does anyone use the Harbor Freight maintainer? I've been using theirs at our farm for all our tractors without any issues for years. It extends the battery life to around seven years or more.
