Pro charger heat control in track use

Has anybody had success controlling heat on your Coyote during track use? I expect the Pro charger to run cooler than a Whipple. I run 3-4 weekends per summer in Open track events with 20-30 minute sessions. I’d like the extra hp but concerned about heat management.

Someone really needs to take both cars to the track , collect some data, and settle this one and for all

Numerous people have over the years and it never turns out well for the boosted car - hence why people always urge against it.

Other than overheating the engine, if the supercharger has self-contained oil, the supercharger oil will overheat before the engine does.

That being said, it can be done - just very difficult and expensive to do at a DIY level. Easier and cheaper to start off with a GT500 and go from there.


EDIT: I should add....it's doable for a time attack car (warm up lap, hot lap, cool down lap) but to turn laps one after another for the whole session, you better aim for cold ambient temps or drive slow.
