@Mikestang20 might want to change your name to 'Mikamaro' and go chevy. This stuff right here is why i'll likely never buy another relatively new ford ever again. and absolutely not 'new'.
They basically told me to pound sand on covering my paint repair, i have aluminum corrosion all over my front 3 panels. My wife's first escape went thru 2 transmissions, never got any assistance getting into a newer vehicle from ford corporate or the dealer. we bought a brand new escape titanium, that went thru THREE ENGINES in 60,000 miles but they did at least cover a rental at the local Enterprise. but we had to get pre-authorization from the dealership to go to the local enterprise and they then gave us the better/affordable rates.

I now own a 22 silverado with the 6.2L that i bought brand new right off the delivery truck from the assembly plant and i couldn't be more happy with my GM A10.... just sayin' and good luck

edit this is my fender today; it's been rotting like this since it was 3 months old...
C8 would be a better option...... I'll have to see how this plays out. Def not happy with Ford. Maybe a new accord. Save up for something else

Yeah man it's a dam shame. The mustang really is a great car and the Coyote is a modern marvel. I have no problems when stuff goes wrong. It's when you treat me like garbage after you got my money that i have a problem.
if my car wasn't already paid off, there would most definitely be a Camaro in my driveway 🤷‍♂️
Oh and I've been a BIG time Mustang guy my whole life. Especially since i was 18 and bought my first one. I've had one ever since and next year I'll likely be selling mine and not looking back 😔

As for Ford Loaners and unless something has changed in the last 2-5 years, Ford should be providing a Customer with a vehicle loaner if the Customer is the original owner of the vehicle up to 5yr/60k and if the car is to remain at the Service Center for more than 48hr for warranty repairs. If the loaner is needed longer than 4 days, the Ford Service Center also can put in an extension via their internal Ford FMC360 Warranty form. Tell your Dealership to reference the Ford Warranty and Policy Manual which was (SECTION 6 – FORD/LINCOLN PROGRAM POLICIES SECTION FORD IN-WARRANTY LOANER PROGRAM). Every Franchise has access to it via Ford OASIS and other internal channels.

Also if the Service Center does not have any fleet loaners, they should be able to get you a loaner through Enterprise (or other similar services in your area). Normally if the Dealership has an account with a local Rental Corp. it should be of no expense to you and the Service Center will get reimbursed through Ford for the rental. HOWEVER if you have a Case # and if the Service Center has no accounts with a local Rental Car Corp., the direction is (as you were told) that you may have to pay up front and you would get reimbursement via Ford Corp. via the Dealership’s on-site finance office.

And if they can’t get a new or rebuilt 10R80 quick enough (meaning it’s “months out”), in that same Policy Manual - to expedite repairs, they can also pull a new part off of an existing new inventory Ford. Meaning, they *could* pull a new 10R80 off a new car on the lot - repair the Customer car (with same warranties as if the unit was shipped from Ford), set the Customer on their way - and then repair their lot vehicle once the new component arrived. The problem with this is it is more labor intensive… and now they have an inventoried unit that can’t be sold until repaired. It’s not the norm BUT it is an exception per the Policy Manual IF it’s a dire situation to satisfy the customer….

“Getting an Attorney” won’t do anything… it will only cause more headaches and they won’t take such a case for “free” just to get a vehicle repaired. You’ll then be tied up between an Attorney and all his/her other cases where you’re not a priority and you’ll be dealing with that mess on top of the Service Center. An Attorney would only be of service if you’re doing a Lemon Claim, which at this stage on a 2020 vehicle, you’re well beyond most State Lemon Law/Buy Back limitations and deadlines by years and accrued miles.
Just file a small claim for 8K yourself. It will cost them$5K just to respond. Don't need a lawyer for this. It will cost them $20K in legal fees to see it to trial. Then they have to pay you for your trans, interest 35% compounded daily, and costs.

It's cheaper and easier for them to bump you to front. Maybe a different dealer is better....

Try a different dealer....shop it around until one helps you. Dealers want these $8K jobs. Even if have to pay $500 to transport it.

Can also sue immediately and see how far they come up with loaner after served.

They told me they didn't have any for 2 months! LMFAO.... then customer care advised me to rent a car, must be a ford vehicle, max $45 per day and I would be reimbursed later. I'm like are you f-ing kidding? Can't rent a skateboard for that. At the minimum it'll need a transmission rebuild, and that will take months
That's crazy, when my Kia Stinger died, they put me in a rental no questions asked. Ended up being a lemon buy back and was in the rent as l for several weeks and didn't pay a dime. Surprised Kia has better costumer service in this instance.

I'm going thru the process.... still no rental, no loaner, no help. At least it'll get looked at much sooner. Still can't find an 800 number to escalate the issue either. I do have a letter on to the ford po box....... not holding my breath on that

Don't know how Ford corporate operates but with my stinger I had to mention lemon law before they escalated the case. Don't know exactly what laws the lemon laws are in your state, but it sounds like you've already looked into a lot of that.

Who did you mention the lemon law comment to? I said attorney in a conversation with a service manager and she hung up on me.

" C8 looking pretty good about now."
Do it. I did after 2yrs and 10,000 miles of shitty shifting. Now I have a dual clutch 8 speed that's doing fine after 2,000 miles.

But they are so damn ugly...

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Glad you like it.

Ford warranty repairs suck. Still no loaner, and really no help. Might be time to live without a Mustang. Sad but true

See this link - it has the Ford 800# as well as other pertinent numbers that I posted here a few years ago.
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/the-ford-800-info-for-those-needing-it.111571/

Also in your Owner’s Manual the numbers are listed in there too.

So if anyone has the most recent Owner’s Manual for the S550, feel free to add the new numbers and or images from the Manual into that thread.

They ever provide a loaner? Or at least start on it yet?
