I've been on a mission to part with my GT350 for about month now. I was out with my little one and decided to check out the local Honda dealership. I've been eyeing the new Civic, Accord, and Pilot. Surprisingly enough, they offered me a fair price on the GT350. Not only that, I got offered a decent value for my Saturn Outlook. So now I'm trying to make a decision on a Honda purchase. Yeah, I know, it's a big step down performance wise from a GT350 to a Honda. However, I've had Hondas and Acuras in the past and have always loved their build quality and reliability. So by the numbers...they are offering me $57k, and that might go up a couple of hundred dollars. Not too bad considering I will save a few thousand on taxes if I make the trade.

So what's the question?

How many miles?
Honda will probably sell it to a more specialized car dealer.

Unless its MSRP I'd post it on auto trader etc just to get a feeler before I'd trade it in and let them make the money you'd be able to put in your pocket. They would make money on both selling you a car and selling your GT350.

Bet there are a lot of guys here that would snap it up @ $57K (really $60.5K when you figure in the sales tax you avoid by trading in) if you offered it for sale !
Why not let a fellow enthusiast snatch it up instead of a dealer ??

I think his car has been in the classified section for a month now and no bites probably. One of the reason he wants to trade in

I would actually do the same if I was in his position. Dealer is offering a good deal + tax saving + less hassle selling privately. No brainer.
Now members need to step up if they are interested.

So what's the question?

No question. Just throwing this out there for those who are looking to depart with their GT350. There's been sales information and values, but I haven't seen anything about trade values. I've had it for sale for about a month. It's been on the market under MSRP, but didn't sale. People were interested but nothing ever came of it. I think there's more of a demand for these cars up north and west coast, but shipping plays a factor. BTW, this car has 2500 miles on it. I would keep lowering the price, but I'm at a point now where this trade will be better cost wise if it works out. So, now it's a matter of what comes first.

I'm hoping for $55-57k on my current 350 when my '17 rolls in in about 2 months. That's a pretty darn fair trade value.

I would say people want more track pack cars than tech pack.

Car is gone. Got $56k at the end of the day towards a trade, plus they gave me a good deal on my old SUV. So at the end of the day, I had them knock off $2500 off the new SUV, didn't have to buy new tires for the old SUV, didn't have to pay taxes on the new SUV (about $3k), reduced monthly car/insurance payments by $600, and I put $4k in the bank. Win win, but still sad to see the GT350 go. Maybe I'll look for a 2017 down the road. I am interested to see what they try to sale the GT350 for.

I wish our state calculated taxes on the difference on trade and new car purchase. Congratulations and sorry at the same time

This is ONE thing i like about our state. Makes trading to dealerships more "worth it" vs finding the individual to buy at the upper end of blue book.
