Drive the car in whatever mode you like the best. Track mode has traction control turned off, be aware.

Sport makes the throttle response much more responsive which is good for blip downshifting, not so good on Track when you need a more linear throttle input.

Like Galaxy said, no difference between exhaust baffles in sport and track. They are either closed or open. They always close in 6th gear.

....I often wished you could be in sport mode and then select between sport or track on the shock setting (currently it allows for sport or normal while in sport mode) - that would be a pretty good combo.
I actually like track mode on the street with dampers on sport and steering on comfort. I sometimes wish I could have NORMAL settings on the dampers in track mode for street bumps! I feel like the reduction in nannies in track mode lets you steer more with the throttle, but could be placebo.

I guess that just means Ford should have allowed all damper settings in all modes - haha

Hello all. I recently purchased a 2018 350R with 2100 miles on it three months ago. I haven't had the chance to drive it yet. :( My question is: Is it okay to drive it on the street in Track Mode, or should it be in Sport?
Drive it in the mode you like the best and whatever your mode take you. I believe your car has magneride suspension so you will notice the difference between modes. On rought roads, the ride will be harsh in track mode.

I have a Mustang GT with magneride and often drive in track mode. It is so much more fun and responsive.

Sport vs Track = zero difference in exhaust.

You've never driven it? The difference in firmness alone between sport vs track is astronomical.

Nope! I might have cycled through it a few times but never stayed in it long enough to feel the damping difference, but that's also good to know. I just always looked at it like "Ah well it's just Sport without the nannies, I'm not a hero and I'm not on a track so meh".

Track mode throttle response is linear. The amount you press the throttle equals the blade opening on the throttle body. Sport mode is amplified, so to speak. It give you a sensation of a more responsive feel. Both are the same at full throttle.

Since steering is electric assist, the different modes will affect the feel for steering as well.

The magneride will change the dampening based on the modes and will also use throttle position and steering wheel angle to increase/decrease dampening.

I'll sell you a device that will allow you to do exactly what you are looking for.

Well, in my 2016 GT350 Track Pack, you can set vehicle mode with the steering wheel button, and then adjust the dampers with the damper settings steering wheel button. Does a 2016 Tech package car work differently?

Maybe specific to the GT350 and the Track Pack?

track mode with sport suspension and comfort steering if my favorite setting if you want to feel it get loose on the street at the top of 1st or 2nd or over the bumps. Track turns off TC (straight line) but keeps ESC (yaw sideways slip control - advancedtrak) in a semi-on state that allows some degrees of slip but will still step in if it gets too sideways. you need some skill and feeling of the car, but track mode is awesome on the pavement transitions and the car feels more natural vs pinned down in sport or normal. Especially when you're pushing on the track, the relaxed stability control is better for good drivers. The exaggerated throttle response of sport really turns me off but i liked it when the car was new. I enjoy the smoother, more linear throttle response of track.
