Glad i dont live nextdoor to you then , They say " Don't shit where you eat " I will be driving of from my street in quiet mode after my GT is delivered next week , that shows respect .
The exhaust in track mode is not even loud unless you get on it. I’ll flip it to normal when I come in late though.

As a long time California resident that love his state, i used to be quite annoyed with the regular California bashing by mostly out of state residents until a few years ago when, cruising down pch around Big Sur, in my Porsche, I realized that the quite heavy traffic was mostly composed of out of state vehicles….
Suddenly it downed on me that those bashers are doing us a huge favor by discouraging Texans or any other states residents to come to Ca
My only complaint is that their much appreciated efforts, are not doing enough to discourage people from coming to ca
As a long term californian, i can assure you that the scenery is ugly, the weather crappy, the food completely uninteresting, the car scene worthless, the 7 road racing tracks, such as Laguna Seca, are big time boring and finally we have way too much sunshine which is very bad for your skin..
Please, avoid California…
Thank you 😁

I don't have a v8, so I'll take your word for it, but my HHP in track mode is very loud even when going easy on it.

Lol that was good, I know there’s parts of your state especially up in the mountains of northern ca that are awesome unfortunately there’s a large chunk that’s well you know and then there’s the amount of crazy government bs that eventually starts to creep into other states making people miserable

You ll all be driving electric cars only soon in CA. LOL.
The land of fruits and nuts. (agricultural state)
so you had 2 or 3 violations and got 1 ticket, non moving violation? If true you got a break. Basically a warning that you are on their radar I guess.

This is why I don't have tint or loud exhaust on my car. I also run a front license plate. These are the laws in my state and I follow them.

I guess the OP is fortunate to live in a state where there are enough cops for them to care about these tiny little violations? In MN the police are seriously understaffed and they don't tend to pull people over much any more. In a way that is nice, but also it's better for there to be plenty of police so that the public is protected from criminals.

I don't think a person has much to complain about when they are breaking the law and they get called on it. If you don't want to get a ticket, don't break the law. Or just take your licks. Or if you think the law is unfair, get it changed.

its better for you to go to court, beat the shit out of the case, set the precedent for others, and take back your state from your tyrannical overlords that hassle people about STOCK VEHICLES.

the answer is to fight tyranny at every step cause it won't stop there.

whatever you do, if you don't have the balls to take back your liberty don't come to Texas to destroy ours.
Or Florida for that matter.

They’ll be fine in MN.. The My Pillow guy is there. 🙂
Patrol vehicles windows here are much darker than the citizens so it’s relatively unenforced except by Highway Patrol.
Some laws are used as “tools”.

You my friend are exercising an excessive amount of common sense and responsibility, that seems to be highly frowned upon these days in society. For some reason people think the cops wrote the laws and get to put all the fines into their own pockets. Those “petty” things that people get stopped for lead to much bigger issues that tend to keep us safe. If nobody believes that just open your eyes and look at the crime in localities that have removed law enforcement’s ability to stop for the “petty” issues and made these violations illegal to stop for (tint, lights out, tags not expired for more than 30 days, obstructed view, etc). Imo don’t drive with illegal crap in your car and you won’t have to worry but again how dare you require people to follow the laws. If the blue giraffes are disproportionately held accountable the blue giraffes should start following the law, that’s the purpose for making these stops illegal after all.

“P. No law-enforcement officer shall stop a motor vehicle for a violation of this section. No evidence discovered or obtained as the result of a stop in violation of this subsection, including evidence discovered or obtained with the operator's consent, shall be admissible in any trial, hearing, or other proceeding”

More times than not if someone gets a ticket for the “petty” issue they earned that trophy due to that thing under their nose.

VA actually exempts a slew of vehicles from the tint laws, now whether you or I agree, or why they are exempt, that’s another topic for discussion.

Ha ha on the My Pillow guy. :giggle:

I agree with you that laws are used as tools, but it really doesn't change anything. If you do something that is illegal, you are putting yourself in a situation where you might get in trouble for it, or at least get stopped.

One thing I didn't say previously is that Ford puts pretty loud exhaust on their cars now. I like the sound of a V8, but I know a lot of people don't. I accept having quiet exhaust on my current Mustang because I think it makes me slightly less of a target for law enforcement. I think it's cool Ford does what their customers want, but there's also a risk for people who buy these cars. I loved my GT350 when I owned it, but I didn't like how the active exhaust would automatically go to loud mode if I stepped on the gas a little too much. Not good for a 6 am commute.

You'll learn, you are still young.
Actually I’m not young, and I’m about to retire to Florida. So I won’t be in this idiot state anymore. Not that Florida will be any better until I experience it but anything has to be better than California.
