181 . . . holy smokes.

I have seen 145 in my 2018 GT several times and it was still climbing. Guess 145 is good enough for me.

fastest I ever been was 170 on street. and I got busted. - me and about 10 guys at tail of dragon (was up in other areas around it) not on the tail at that moment. I think they called this skyway. BEAUTIFUL riding.) anyway, I just cracked a wheelie earlier, and we all busted down to 170.

we had nowhere to run, and it wasn't worth it. so we pulled over. EVERYONE EXCEPT ME, got massive fines... required court dates etc.. I was a police officer at that time. he chewed my ass out so bad, that I honestly don't think I ever really played again.

I got the nickname O'connor after that, jokingly a few people didn't like me after that and went all anti police and shit.

Isn't that area notorious for a heavy police presence?
in the tail of dragon- yes. but we wasn't in the tail section, we was outskirts, I think they called it the skyway or heaven or something like that. the photo with me standing is the area we was at, long swooping beautiful turns with not a single person there. didn't see anyone up there.

I beg to differ. He would have been understanding and cool if he had let you go with just a verbal warning.
That would have been better, 100% agreed but considering that he clocked me well within felony territory, his actions showed understanding. Our conversation and his attitude about everything lead me to believe he was actually cool.

Very thankful he clocked me near the beginning of my spirited run as opposed to the end, may not have been as understanding and cool as I described.

I just did the Texas Mile last weekend and hit 183mph in a standing mile. It was still pulling, so who knows ... maybe eventually 190? It was certainly dancing around a lot. If I go again in October, I will probably look at venting the hood to release the pressure build-up.

How did you go that fast when the limiter kicks in at 155mph?

I believe the Whipple tune removes that limitation.

He hit us with lidar. I was 2nd in the pack, he didn’t peg them all for that speed, he got them for like 50 over and wreckless op. But when we was hit my Speedo was registering 172. I was 1 tooth down in the front sprocket, so I think take away 8% off my top speed. Roughly 158-160mph with 8% removed

Meh.
for years I didn’t even have a license plate on my motorcycle, I keep them up under the tail now. If I really want too, I will disappear.

I ride with a gf now all the time, so guess that made me not so reckless. Back when I was single it was a whole diff ballgame

I have done some chassis stiffening, but that shouldn't have any impact on the aero induced "floatiness" of the front end. I'll ask my buddy who has a 16 GT (non-perf pack) how his feels on the top end.
Same here + a complete suspension upgrade - all of it Steeda. I'm 1" lower than I was on progressive springs and adjustable shocks, and there's a lot less air around the wheels and tires than there used to be. 285 35 R19 in front with 10" rims, 325 30 R19 in the rear with 11" rims.

No special splitter and spoiler delete. It's the 1" drop that would make the most difference.
