Thanks, Jaime:thumbsup:

It's 409 stainless except the tips which are 304. Here is a picture of my old setup after 8k miles which is a combo of 409 and 304 stainless. I am down South so I don't have to worry about the salt, sand etc. like you do and I know that makes a difference.

That Solo Performance kit is a work of art, we installed one on Friday! I also like how high it sits underneath the car, if you're slamming the car you'll have more clearance than some other exhausts out there.

I remember my days in upstate NY and all the rusted cars and snowy winters:doh:;)

I am really pumped for Carlisle, too. Going to be a great time seeing everyone's car and placing a face with a screename.

Very nice Todd.

I have had Solo Performance on my last two F150's and I am a big fan of them. They hooked me up very well with my current truck. I think Jeff was his name, great company.

The only complaint I have with them is they use 400 grade SS as opposed to 300 and it rusts up. Well, at least it has on my trucks but I'm hoping they ventured to 300 grade on this kit? I agree with you, they make a sound like no one else.

Jaime
Ive asked steve and jeff. Their mandrel bender isnt set up for 304ss unfortunately. I asked them if they could for my street race, id be willing to pay the difference in cost without a complaint. Maybe if enough people ask for it they will eventually.

Interesting. Guess it would be a couple hundred more? I would like to have 304 but don't need it down south.

It probably would be around 1400-1600. About double the cost of what the exhaust is now. I dont "need" 304 as my mustangs or fun cars in general never see rain or snow but it holds up longer. At least their exhaust is cheap enough if it rusts ill just buy another street race :D

I've asked Jeff multiple times and he also told me they weren't set up for it. Too bad because they are without a doubt the only exhaust manufacturer I can think of that would make that kit and a custom dual tip to work with my GT350 valance. Jeff helped me make a one off elliptical set of tips for my F150 Kit but I would never put anything less than 304 stainless on my mustang up here in New England.

Not sure if you can see the tips but they are nice and Solo Performance does great work.

Thats a really nice f150 you got there. Im fortunate that im in the Myrtle beach area most of the year. I bounce back and forth between here and stl, mo (where my wife and I are originally from) my wife and I's primary residence is here in SC. We go home usually during holidays to our small town house and see both sides of our family. I leave the stang back at the beach.

As for solo they seem to be very over ignored by our community unfortunately. I hope it changes. Their quality seems very high despite 409ss or not.
