I have never owned a set on my lifted truck. I run Toyo Open Country III, which I really like…35x12.5x20. I like the look of the Nitto’s I see on similar trucks. They suck there too. Ask me how I know lol

The Nitto suck in mud. Suck on wet pavement. Suck in snow. About their only saving grace is the mesquite of West Texas, and gravel roads. They hold up really well in those situations.I have never owned a set on my lifted truck. I run Toyo Open Country III, which I really like…35x12.5x20. Except you’re comparing mileage warranties of a summer only high performance tire to an all season tire. PS4S (summer only high performance) mileage warranty is the same as the Conti ECS. Make sure you’re comparing apples to apples, AS4’s are really good tires but they’re not in the same category as the ECS and PS4S.I had some version of Continental Extremes on my car, great tires but only lasted 13000 miles. My car is lowered, special sport suspension, etc, etc and can turn on a dime blah, blah and I drive a freakin maniac but 13000 miles, that's just plain stupid.
Because they were still under the 25000 mile warranty or whatever it was, I got 80% off my next set which was some Michelin Sport All Season 4's. So far under limited use they seem great and unlike the Continentals, the Michelin's have like a 60000 mile warranty.
True. The All season 4 is an amazing tire. I love them, they do handle really well for an all season. And grip like crazy in colder temps. I went out in single digit weather Christmas Eve last year and they stuck like glue. Dry pavement but still impressive. Never would have tried that with a summer tire.Except you’re comparing mileage warranties of a summer only high performance tire to an all season tire. 13k does seem a bit light on the ECS, 20k-25k is what I’ve heard as the norm for typical street driving (depends on how hard you run them of course).
Hey all, reading through all this and enjoying the comments. I'm looking for new tires and considering either a 305/35/19 555R2 or 325/30/19 Conti EC Sport 02 for the rear. I'm boosted at 685 rwhp. I don't drag the car but want better traction then the stock 275 PS4's. Will the 325 width provide enough surface area and traction to equate to the narrower R2's? Thoughts?
Thanks all!
Thanks James! I'm trying to achieve the best of both worlds with one tire solution and it's difficult. My ride is my summer fun car, no drag trips, just spirited drives and some wet weather (not that I like it) driving. Trying to come up with a solution that fits all, and gain some traction, thus thinking the 325's over the factory 275's as they break loose easily with a heavy foot in 1st and 2nd. 373 gears as well. I have some worry with the Nitto G2 fronts and the R2's rear in wet weather.I would say the 325 width Conti should put you very close to the width of the 305 width Nitto 555 r2 as far as surface area goes. (Discount Tire or manufacturer site probably has the answer) Traction is a different story. I think a properly heated Nitto 555 r2 has better traction from the "dig". I have both the Conti EC 02 and the Nitto r2 on two sets of wheels that I switch back and forth. I am also boosted to an almost identical rwhp, as you are AND also a 6 speed.
NOTE: Continentals EC02 run physically narrower than the Nitto r2 in the same sizes.

You're still going to blow the tires off in second with the ECSThanks James! I'm trying to achieve the best of both worlds with one tire solution and it's difficult. I'm not boosted. On the rear I went from the PP1 275/40R19 with MPS4S to 325/30R19 Conti ECS02 tires. The MPS4S were not worn out by any means maybe not as soft as they once were due to age (4 yrs with only 18,000km on them). But the Conti's are far more grippier than I ever remember the MPS4S ever being. I'm sure width is a big factor now. Get them, you won't be disappointed.Hey all, reading through all this and enjoying the comments.
