I’m only looking on the mobile, but I think there is debris under a good number of those bubbles which will make it difficult to get rid of the air - here’s five on your second photo :

I’m no expert and have never fitted tint - but if I would have had a go DIY and ended up with it looking like that, I would have already pulled it all off and be sat in the house, having a beer and sulking to myself :frown:

Hope you get it sorted :like:

yeah i’m gonna go tomorrow and i’ll have to sit and wait for another 4 hours like i did monday bc i have no ride or anything since i’m an hour away. it’s just ridiculous. i agree, looks like debris underneath so they clearly didn’t clean the window properly. tint isn’t rocket science, like someone said, so i don’t get why a professional would do such a shit job. i’m just in a real pissed off annoyed mood right now bc of this, and the fact it cost 295 after tax. only upside was there was a BOGO deal, so i’m getting my rear of my tacoma done for free next month. still, if it’s as shitty of a job, not even worth going back.

is removing freshly installed tint an issue? like does it mess up the rear window or anything? does anyone know? i don’t know much about tint but i really don’t want it to end up being worse than it is now or screwing up the rear defroster.

They should partially reimbursed you for wasting your time .

honestly, if they were careful, i’d tell them to rip it all off and give me my money back. i’ll bring it somewhere else closer, F that. but they’ll want to fix it first instead

here now and i’ll probably be here for 4-6 hours because they’re busy as hell and are backed up from yesterday he said. this’ll be fun!
i asked about the defroster and he said it’s always a chance it can rip off with the tint, but they use heat guns and will do their best to not disturb it….i watched videos showing heat guns make it really easy to take off. so i’m hopeful it won’t be an issue.

also just realized that the 5% i did is not obsidian, it’s the crystaline or whatever it’s called. that’s the higher end 3m, right?

Well, they seem to be willing to attempt make it right without giving you a hard time. And they are not blowing smoke about potential damage.
The fact that you chose to go an hour away without any way of just leaving the car is really on you, not them. They maybe should offer you some compensation for the inconvenience of having to bring it back but not for the hour drive and waiting.
