So... I installed my FRPP / Roush supercharger kit on my new mustang a few months ago. I was very unsure of whether or not I wanted to go with the TVS style kit because I didn't want to cut my timing cover so that the kit would fit. I eventually decided to go with the FRPP kit because of its OEM like build / fit. Still the only anxiety I had with installing this kit was the timing cover modifications. I read every install doc and watched every install video I could find. It seemed my only option for the timing cover was to use a grinder and a cutoff wheel for the modifications. Just so happened that 2 days before I was planning to start my install, I was standing in the checkout line at my local Home Depot and saw this http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Tools/Pages/CategoryProducts.aspx?catid=2094 It was on sale for $65 and came with a few blades. Using the metal blade I was able to very easily make all of the modifications required in the install manual without making a mess. It was small enough that I didn't even have to remove the water pump and it cut so fast I was done with all my cuts in about 5 - 10 minutes. The tool cut so cleanly that it didn't even leave any metal shavings behind, just a fine metal power like saw dust. Some of you reading this may all ready be using something similar, but if anyone is looking for an easy way to make these modifications I wanted to let everyone know what worked for me.

I used the standard Dremel with cutoff wheels on my 11. It worked flawlessly. I even went back and "polished" the cuts and seams with it. Attaboy for going forward with it even though you were a bit nervous.

I felt the same way with mine, and it was the big source of anxiety with the install, but once I got my hands in there, it was easy.

I cut my front cover with a sawzall piece of cake. The bosses weren't used with the stock system so if I had to convert back I could.

What strut tower brace are you using? Does it all fit under the stock hood?

I know this is a SUPER old thread but do know what Dremel tool you used?
The link just brings me to the main page.

I'm attempting to do this and cutting on the timing cover makes me really nervous. lol
Thanks
