the cloth recars are generally quite accomodating of fat guys. It's the leather ones that vary considerably on fit.

2022 700A FJG car in NoVA with 856 miles is listed at $57k. So another datapoint that your local listing is WAY freaking high.

I personally would tell them to offer it for 55K and I would take it today. If they say no just walk away, I am sure they will come back at you for only 2K difference. The market is not as hot as it used to be. Good luck.

KBB is right around there I think 55K is a good price. I priced it as used with 890 miles.

Thanks everyone for your input. I do plan on tracking the car heavily so the Recaro are a must. Daily driver comfort be damned!

The dealer won't come down on the price but is coming up on the price of my trade in
If it's not a daily the square set up would be a con. Would definitely want to switch to 305s in the front and 315s in the back like the actual HP, but that's just me. Also does seem a bit high as far as the price, I'm sure they over-payed hence why they won't come done on the price. The market is a changing but some dealers are in denial.

Beautiful car, BUT,,,,,take in mind that those wheels are retail @ $799 shipped. I have the same wheels on my car in platinum. I'm running 305's squared on 19x10's. My speedo is about 1-2mph off at 60 with the shorter 305 vs. the 315 in the rear. IMHO.....some dealers are coming off MSRP and that spec'd car might be cheaper new!

The wheels are replicas of the HP wheels, right? Any idea of the quality or weight? The car has 285s so I'm not positive how wide the wheels are?

Love how your car looks btw

They look just like the HP wheels, just not the OEM exact color. Here's their link Mach Style Wheels (company.site)
Quality is good.....I've had mine now for about 4000 miles. They are lighter weight than the OEM wheels. They take different lugs and the OEM center caps are too large to fit. I found some running horse caps on Ebay that fit.

The Recaros are also pretty uncomfortable for thin guys who are just quite a bit bigger than you.

Also factor in you're missing out on the "Mach 1 track attack" bonus that comes with the purchase of a new one. They're great cars and with some better incentives you might get on new vs used, especially if a dealer can't unload a manual, I'd look for new in the same price range.

Flow-formed and 8 pounds lbs lighter, that could mean a lot to many people. 10" and 285/35 is right for such wheel too and they won't poke out.
Awesome, thanks!

I appreciate everyone's input.

I was able to negotiate a bit further and ended up getting a deal I felt was pretty good. I traded in my Elantra N for the Mach 1.

The Elantra N was a great car. Phenomenal steering feel, very nimble and very quick. Super underrated car, but for heavy duty track use it'll have overheating issues. I thought about buying a oil cooler and larger intercooler but after reading a bunch about the Mach 1 I think it'll suit my needs very well.
