I don't need to read a post. I've seen my results first hand in the vehicle running. Not a science experiment.

I have a Reische 170 and my cylinder head temps dropped from 210 to a steady 190 in hot and humid weather.
This member is in TX too.

I have an Even Flo 160 right now in the car.
I have a Reische 170 on the way.

I will post a cold start video with both and drive them up to temp.

We will see if there is a difference.
Same location, same car, same tune/fan settings, etc.

Will probably be next week.
Awesome, get a clamp. $8 on amazon and makes it so much faster.

Takes me 10 minutes without a clamp.

Remove res cap.
Pull the hose from the thermostat housing, angle it up and wedge it in a way to hold it in place or make your wife hold it.
Prepare the new thermostat for quick swapping.
Unbolt the housing, swap thermostats as fast as possible. Very little fluid will come out unless you let air get in there. If you swap in less than maybe 5 seconds you will be good.
Bolt housing back on.
Put hose back on.
Open reservoir, start car with heater on and replace fluid as needed. Shouldn't need much.

I posted them for you since you are ignorant.
I don't see how I'm being ignorant, I'm not saying anything hearsay, I'm telling you my own experience, not something I heard . I didn't say anyone t-stat was better than the other just what my temps read in the summer oppose to what they used to read pre- stat. Your the one getting all defensive. I'm telling my side and only mine. Which was on a sunny hot 105 degree day my highest head temps ever reached were 196. Before they would be mid 120's. If it makes you feel better,ok you won the debate , 160 is worthless. So good day to you my fellow mustang member and enjoy your car. I hope to be supercharged within the next year hopefully.

So many guys talking 160 vs. 170 but wouldn't a better comparison be changing thermostats AND coolant ratio?
I've never changed my coolant ratio.

I actually posted the feedback since you are too lazy to review the first few pages of the thread.

I live in Tampa bay also , with a 170 stat mine runs 195 196 in traffic and I'm always in traffic lol ... But I also have a big old intercooler blocking air flow to the Rad ..With the stock stat I was seeing 210 and up .. So the 170 stat did help a bit .. I could turn the fans on a bit sooner and I'm sure that would help ..

One thing I have noticed is my data logs show coolant temps 10 deg lower than what my dash gauge reads ..

Mine was around 196 too until I got retuned and had the fans come on sooner.
