My fans were on a lot with my Lund tune and Steeda intake, it was stirring up a lot of heat and causing IATs to get pretty high. After I put my Reisch in the fans are on less now because the engine temps are staying under 200 and closer to 190, therefore keeping my IATs closer to how they were stock which was within 10 degrees of ambient. That's my experience for whatever it's worth.
Thanks dude.

I should get a tune revision for the Reische prior to putting it in I'm guessing?

Need to find some sort of install guide. Matt from Lethal gave me a link to one ages ago but I can't seem to find it.

No revision needed. Just install the thermostat and you're good.

I'm no mechanic... but I'm going to make a wild guess and say that the thermostat should be in that green circle?

Green circle. Red arrow points at bolt to take out. There is a second bolt under nether that you cant see in the picture.

i changed my tune on the way home from the dealer with 5 miles on the car, lol....

E85 likes colder plugs with non-projected tips to help fend off pre-ignition. E85 has more resistance to detonation but there is also more fuel in the cylinder and a hot spot like a glowing plug will light all that fuel off at bottom dead center and make it look like you dropped a grenade on your piston.

now will that happen on a relatively mild setup? i doubt it.

What plugs are you using ? part# ??

Thanks

I also Have the 170tstat. Ive ran it with Lund tune and Stock tune. With the lund tune it runs cooler (185-197), with the stock tune it runs stock temps (200-210). I've also run with stock tstat with lund tune and fans where on constantly coolant temps where 185 cant remember what the cht was.

I think some people mix up CHT with coolant temp..
