The amount of wear that happens in a modern engine would be measured in thousandths of inches or less. I would say if you don't have and excessive noise from the engine or very noticeable white out black smoke(not like what you see on start up on a cold day) I would not even worry about it.So, after reading this thread, I fully intend to buy a Reisch 170 T-Stat. But how would I know if I've done any damage to my engine already from the heat? I'm tuned with bolt-ons if it makes a difference.
