Thanks guys. You gave me the push I need to just wait it out.
This is really disappointing. This is is my second order because the first one was screwed up! I guess my question is now - WHERE is quality control?! Someone isn't doing their job. I mean, how don't you notice the door hitting the fender so hard it dents it?

Damn-it, I thought Flatrock worked through these issues when they shut the line down a couple of months ago. A build date of 3/17 and still the same schitt?

Mr. Alan Mulally I worked for you (Quality Assurance) when you were at that "other" company, I know you didn't put up with this crap back then so why is this being allowed to continuing on now for so long?
really? the retired guy?

You know Alan retired? Mark Fields is the big guy. And an empty suit. I know was in meetings with him back in the PAG days.

100% wait and get it done right now. You will surely get faster/better service now before you complete the purchase as they want the sale done.

Getting a GT rental is icing on the cake. Sounds like they are taking care of you.

Check out all the body panels for alignment and make sure it's in the day time in the sun light.

Sorry to hear about your car!

I agree 1000% to get it done before picking it up! They should Never deliver a car that has ANY type of damage!

This also gives you the opportunity to make them pay by testing the line lock on their dime! If you know what I mean! ;)

This stuff should not be happening at this point. Personally, I would refuse delivery and order another car.

After driving the GT you might decide you like it better. Just kidding. It is pretty sad that no one caught something that should have been so obvious.

I was reading one of those 10 worst car manufacturers for quality the other day and Ford was in there. Maybe they really do deserve that title.

I'm with this guy.no way I'd take a new car off the lot that had repairs before it even left.

I agree with the majority of what has been said in this thread already, however, why is everyone so quick to assume this was a QC issue? It could have been something that happened during transport. Even if it was a QC issue, for a forum of car enthusiasts, you guys sure don't have any issues jumping down Fords throat any chance you get. Mistakes happen, especially when real people are involved.

OP, I am glad the issue is being addressed and I hope it is resolved in a satisfactory manor.

A door or fender not being hung right is not a transportation problem it's an assembly problem. These cars had a lot of QC issues early on so it's understandable that people want these issues corrected at the factory.

I am not looking to cause controversy or digress from the OP's issue but my point was really about everyone wanting to jump so quickly on Ford for issues that may have not been their fault. Yes, the probability that this was a QC issue is high, but how do we know that for sure? The guy loading/unloading the truck could have tripped and fell on the door why it was open and caused it to become misaligned. Likely, probably not, but the truth is we can't definitively say that it was Ford's lack of QC that created this particular issue. If there were a bunch of misaligned panels as we have seen previously I'd be more inclined to believe this is a QC problem but that is not the case here.

Bottom line, speculation aside, is that the issue is being addressed and the OP is getting his car fixed. Getting angry over something so trivial is just silly, especially when all of the facts are not known nor will ever be known.
