Greets all,

I wanted to get some opinions, and yes I know I am going to get a ton of them, but thats what I am looking for. I have 5 days to make a decision and I thought I knew what I wanted, now not so sure. Let me explain the setup:

I am getting the DD Multi-color LEDs with Amber SEQ. Now since I was able to stop the Fogs from shutting off when signaling, I decided I wanted to change the lighting around. My plan here is to make the Original Signal lights my DRLs, and I would go about doing that by using the harness/pigtail from the Original DRLs and tap them to the Signal lights, which will be replaced with LED bulbs. I plan to take the Signal light harness/pigtail and connect them to the new DD LED boards, so the gills/fins will be come my Signal lights.

Here is where I am torn now:

Originally I was planning to have the gills/fins ONLY come on when I would either have the parking lights on, or at night when the headlights go on, and they would light up either blue or amber. During the day I was planning to have them off like other cars and only light up when I signal.

But then I started thinking if I would like them on during the day also with either Blue or Amber. So I'm kinda torn now.

I say I have 5 days cause I am bringing it to the shop for the guy to put the lights in, and I want to have it setup and decided before I get there. I know I can also try either way after I get it back and see, but I was just curious to see what opinions I could get regarding this.

I will say be very careful with blue. I think in most states it is ileagle to have any blue light visible on the outside of the car. Police will not like that at all. That is while the car is in motion.

Thanks in aware of certain colors not being allowed, it would be Amber mostly, but I do know allot of the LEOs around here so they kinda would let me slide.

Personally, I'd stay away from blue as DRL. Why don't you like them as white? I like seeing other Mustangs coming at me with their DRL gills lit up white. Making them amber would look weird too, since that's used for signaling. I thought even the lower lights on as amber looked weird. Switchbacks look a million times better.

Well I'm more interested in the opinion of having them on all the time or like my first thought of having them off during the day and on at night?

Silence speaks volumes.

Unless you know every LEO everywhere, there's always going to some d*** who wants to show you how much authority he has. I also agree on blue being a bad idea.

Just my $0.02.

So, you live in NJ, where they put salt on the roads and you are going to mess with the wiring on your car.

Sound like a really bad idea, but it is your car, you can have pink lights if you like them.

It will get even more exciting if you have BCM issues. The dealer will laugh you out of the service aisle.

Okay lets forget the color, All I was asking for was the LEDs on during the day, or off during the day and on at night? Thats it.

And Tim, point taken, but when you clearly know what your doing salt isnt an issue and neither is the BCM. And i'm very good friends with my dealer, they already know my capabilites. I've been modding cars for a long time. But thank you for your concern.

Nice C6 BTW, I own 3 myself.

So if you're so damn capable as you state, and have been modding cars for a "long time" then why are you bringing it to "the guy at the shop"?
